Division Overview

The Video Operations and Streaming team is responsible for supporting the release of video delivery and architecture of VOD and Live content streamed on over 18 platforms for Paramount+.

Role Details

We are seeking an expert operations manager to join our team. The role requires experience with video QOS monitoring systems and QOS data analysis. Does this seem like something you are interested in?

Your Day-to-Day


  • Analyze collected QOS data across various collection time periods
  • Identify anomalies and trends in QOS data
  • Build and present video health reports to Paramount+ stakeholders
  • Advise cross team quality task forces to build action plans to address video service quality issues
  • Track impact of actions on streaming QOS KPIs
  • Guide investigations of customer reported streaming issues



What you bring to the team


  • Minimum 3-4 years experience in media and/or streaming.
  • Minimum one (1) year proven experience in streaming. Deep understanding of video streaming KPI’s and their impact on user experience
  • BS Degree in Communications or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 1 year management experience.
  • Experience with Conviva, New Relic, Grafana, ELK!
  • Ability to analyze data, form hypotheses, develop tests and draw conclusions
  • Strong presentation/interpersonal skills!
  • Familiarity with end to end components of video streaming delivery systems
  • We collect network traffic from various platforms
  • Ability to debug ad server integrations and client side issues.
  • Bash or Python scripting experience
  • Experience building automation tests for mobile and html5 devices (Witbe, Selenium, or similar toolset…)
  • Utilize REST APi to store metrics and query data
  • Experience with real time log streaming systems





Hiring Salary Range: $100,000.00 - 130,000.00. 


The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
