Overview & Responsibilities
Reporting to the VP of Business Intelligence - Pluto TV, this role will oversee the Business Intelligence team that owns data reporting and develops analytics & measurement for our International Free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) markets. This individual will be responsible for analysis and reporting across Marketing, Content and Revenue for Pluto TV, driving local market insights, growth and optimization; and managing internal executive reporting including our publicly reported KPIs. Your team will work closely with International and Domestic FP&A to oversee revenue budgeting and forecasting. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership across the organization to develop new revenue driving initiatives, define KPIs, and build reporting to measure impact.

 

Responsibilities
The Sr. Director of Business Intelligence, International responsibilities include the following key strategic business analysis services:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and Long-range planning (LRP) presentations for budget and forecasting sessions utilizing both internal data and external market data
  • Oversee deep dive analysis and build recurring insights reports based on our streaming media platform, the platform content, device and user performance and video ad metrics
  • Prepare recurring status reports and maintain align on International BI efforts with executive leadership
  • Partner with Data Engineering, Data Science, Business Intelligence and Program Management teams to create product roadmaps & timelines for delivery
  • Work with local ad sales teams to facilitate optimal monetization of our platform in key strategic markets
  • Work with local marketing teams on new user growth and retention initiatives, driving optimal ROAS for consumer growth in key markets
  • Manage and review the work of Business Intelligence analysts dedicated to our International Markets
  • Track and maintain status of new or changing Privacy and Compliance impacts to Business Intelligence use cases for non-US markets

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 years+ of large-scale Business Intelligence experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing Analytics teams in data-intensive environments (Streaming or Digital Media or Digital Publishing or Digital Advertising or Digital Ad Serving or Digital Ad Sales leadership experience strongly preferred)
  • BS degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience working with International Marketing, Content and Revenue teams
  • Experience with International privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, LGPD)
  • Experience driving insights in established International Markets, including emerging market initiatives
  • Experience leading cross-functional BI Analysts to achieve critical reporting goals in an agile and fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to synthesize data and complex information, and present succinctly to executives and stakeholders at all levels
  • Deep understanding of the data collection, flow, transformation, and reporting processes related to the Mobile / Web / CTV platforms and media services

 

Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity, collaborate effectively, and build consensus in a highly matrixed environment
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to drive analysis independently with little guidance and lead the team in analysis involving manipulation of large amounts of data across different systems, using Tableau, Snowflake, Alteryx and Excel/Google Sheets
  • Demonstrated ability to drive to deadlines, balancing multiple priorities, and ensuring quality standards
  • Experience working with technical and creative teams to create comprehensive, concise, reporting and insights focusing on Product performance, launch initiatives 
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Additional language competency in Spanish, German, or French

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $200,000.00 - 225,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
