Senior Financial Analyst

Step into a key role supporting Paramount’s international operations! As a Senior Financial Analyst, you’ll play a central part in ensuring accurate, high‑quality financial reporting across our global business. You’ll take ownership of critical accounting processes within our European Business Services Center (EBSC), helping drive efficiency, accuracy, and financial excellence across Paramount entities.
In this role, you will manage a variety of daily and monthly accounting activities - from recording entries in SAP, clearing cash and intercompany accounts, overseeing fixed asset activities, to preparing thorough account reconciliations. You will also monitor exchange and revaluation movements, ensuring our financials reflect the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
What will you be doing?
Responsibilities:
- Perform and prepare documentation that support journal entries, including but not limited to:
- Ad hoc hedge and derivative accounting journal entry
- Prepayments, accruals, payroll, taxes, and fixed asset processes
- Annual pension accounting journal entry
- Monthly or daily journal entries for:
- Bank activity
- Eliminations
- Franchise fee/IC royalty

Conduct reconciliations/analysis for fixed asset inventory, Stat to GAAP, roll forwards, CRC reporting, Fixed Assets Tax reporting

Ensure all financial activities meet corporate reporting deadlines, maintaining the highest standard of accuracy

Take an active role in statutory audits

Lead monthly close processes, including the reconciliation of general ledger accounts and preparing required reports

Oversee and control intercompany accounts, monitoring exchange and revaluation movements and addressing any unusual variances

Maintain and continuously enhance accounting policies and procedures

Partner with the Manager, General Ledger, on global accounting processes, escalations, and day‑to‑day operational issues

Support both internal and external audits, providing clear explanations and accurate financial data

Participate in system implementation and testing, helping to optimize tools, workflows, and reporting capabilities

Train and guide (junior) accountants on accounting practices and procedures

Collaborate with other departments to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded
What are we looking for?
Key competencies/traits
-
CPA or Chartered Accountant designation
-
Minimum of 5 years work experience providing accounting support to a global organization
-
Knowledge of financial analysis, US GAAP, IFRS
Technical competencies:
-
Proficiency with SAP Financials and advanced Excel tools
-
Experience with pension accounting and an understanding of how actuarial assumptions impact financial reporting
-
Hands‑on experience with intra‑ and intercompany accounting in a global organization, including working with licensing arrangements, service agreements, loans, and elimination principles

Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting and supporting the budgeting process, with the ability to translate data into clear reporting and analysis

Understanding of appropriate reconciliation processes, and required supporting documentation (3rd party documentation, internal vs external system documentation, etc.)

Experience in analysis and reporting of various financial statement disclosures

Overall proficiency in accounting principles and practices under US GAAP and IFRS
