This role is perfect for a driven account management professional who thrives in a dynamic media landscape, demonstrating strong partner relationships to increase distribution and revenue opportunities. As Sr. Account Manager, Affiliate for the Benelux region, you’ll take ownership of high-impact affiliate partnerships across the Netherlands and Belgium, directly supporting the growth of our iconic brands. If you’re passionate about media, have a keen sense for business opportunities, and excel at building partnerships that resonate with local markets, this is the role for you.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Revenue Growth and Stability for our affiliate business in the Benelux region, leading a large revenue portfolio by ensuring strategic distribution and growing affiliate engagement.

  • Strengthen and expand existing partnerships with key affiliate partners in Belgium, such as Telenet, Proximus, and Orange/VOO. Emphasize account management and cultivate new partnerships.
  • Contract Renewals & Negotiations with affiliate partners to secure favorable terms that align with Paramount’s financial and strategic goals.
  • Collaborator and Partner Management, including oversight of channel distribution activities undertaken by Paramount’s JV partner Sky Showtime in the Netherlands and Nordics, alongside internal teams.
  • Support for Ad Sales through strategic distribution and affiliate management (e.g., optimizing channel portfolio, household reach, and Dynamic Ad Insertion opportunities).
  • Industry Relations in the Netherlands and Belgium, with active involvement in associations such as the VCO (Industry Association for Commercial Broadcasters) and other relevant bodies.
  • Support our Regional Commercial Effort in the Northern, Central, and Eastern Europe region, particularly in the GSA region (based on emerging needs and strategic alignment)
  • Scout New Opportunities: Identify new affiliate partners and innovative distribution models that align with evolving media consumption habits, ensuring our brands adapt to the shifting market dynamics.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Experienced Account Manager: At least 3 years of experience in a commercial role, ideally within the media or telecom industry.

  • Strategic and Analytical: you have a commercial approach, are skilled at spotting and developing revenue opportunities, and are adept at translating insights into impactful business strategies.
  • Proficient Communicator: Exceptional English and (ideally) Dutch communication skills, with the ability to engage and align partners from different departments.
  • Self-Starter with a Team Orientation: Proactive, independent, and highly organized, yet thrive in collaborative team environments.
  • Passionate About Media: A strong understanding of the media landscape and a personal connection to the content and brands that make Paramount outstanding.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel, able to present data in clear and compelling formats.
  • Flexible and Driven: Enjoys working in a fast-paced, evolving industry, and is adaptable to change and new challenges.
