Paramount is looking for a Vice President of Publicity and Communications to lead publicity for Paramount+ and Pluto TV, based in Berlin — one of Europe's largest and most competitive entertainment markets. Reporting to the SVP, Publicity and Communications for EMEA, this leader will develop and execute best-in-class publicity strategies that spark global cultural conversation, drive subscriber acquisition, and establish Paramount+ Originals and Pluto TV as must-watch television — translating that success into measurable outcomes including media impressions, social engagement, brand elevation, and industry credibility. This is a hybrid role for a senior strategist who's equally comfortable counseling global leadership and getting hands-on with campaign execution: sharpening a press line, briefing talent, or walking into a room of senior stakeholders and owning it.

Role responsibilities:

  • Campaign strategy, start to finish. Lead comprehensive publicity campaigns for Paramount+ Original series — scripted and unscripted — from announcement through premiere and across full season runs, plus publicity for Pluto TV's diverse, always-on programming slate. Design 360-degree strategies spanning traditional media, digital platforms, social, podcasts, and emerging channels, and advise on premiere timing and launch windows to maximize impact.
  • Media relations at the top table. Serve as the primary media relations lead, building and maintaining relationships with top-tier entertainment journalists, critics, trade press, podcasters, and digital influencers. Secure high-value placements across broadcast morning shows, late-night, major publications, and digital platforms, while overseeing all press materials — releases, alerts, talent bios, and pitch materials.
  • Talent relationships built on trust. Work directly with agents, managers, and personal publicists to align on campaign goals and secure press participation. Navigate complex talent dynamics with diplomacy, prepare talent for media appearances, and coordinate availability for interviews, photoshoots, and events across global markets.
  • Press events that generate real coverage. Conceptualize and execute high-impact premieres, screenings, junkets, and experiential activations — serving as on-site lead and overseeing press list development, credentials, and event collateral.
  • A team that delivers. Lead, mentor, and grow a team of publicity professionals, while partnering seamlessly with Marketing, Creative, Awards, Social Media, Events, and Content teams to ensure every campaign is fully integrated.
  • Budget with accountability. Manage the publicity budget in partnership with department leadership, allocate resources across multiple titles to maximize ROI, and negotiate agency and vendor contracts.
  • A seat at the global table. Be the senior voice representing Berlin and the German market inside a global matrix — aligning local publicity strategy with worldwide campaigns for Paramount+ Originals and Pluto TV, and representing Paramount+ at industry events.

What you will bring:

  • 10+ years of progressive entertainment publicity experience across television, streaming, or film — with a portfolio of campaigns that achieved significant media coverage and measurable business impact. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.
  • Publicity leadership built for the German market — one of the most competitive entertainment landscapes in Europe — backed by an extensive network across entertainment journalism, trade press, and digital media.
  • A track record of managing senior stakeholders across global markets, leading cross-functional teams, and building or reshaping agency relationships that deliver.
  • Sophisticated strategic vision: the ability to spot cultural moments, build multi-phase campaigns, and craft narratives that break through a crowded streaming landscape — paired with the business acumen to tie publicity directly to subscriber acquisition and brand impact.
  • Proven talent relations instincts — known for diplomacy, discretion, and building trust with high-profile creators and performers — plus experience navigating crisis communications with calm, sound judgment.
  • Comfort operating inside a fast-moving global matrix organization: equally credible counseling senior leadership and rolling up your sleeves when a launch is 48 hours out. Highly organized, deadline-driven, and adaptable to shifting priorities and timelines.
  • Digital fluency across social platforms, influencer landscape, and campaign analytics, with the flexibility to work evenings, holidays, and weekends around events and premieres.
