Director, Paramount + Content Finance (Leave Cover)

We are seeking a Director, P+ Content Finance to oversee expense and cash management related to programming and production across all Paramount+ International business units. This role is crucial to the success of the finance team, supporting our rapidly growing international streaming organization.
Reporting to the VP, Content Finance, you will be responsible for business partnering, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and process optimization. You will also lead a team of five and play a key role in enhancing financial workflows and reporting structures.
This is a fixed-term maternity cover position for two years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic partner to the Senior Finance Director, International P+, supporting content analysis, decision-making, and financial requirements.
- Develop and implement real-time forecasting, tracking, and reporting processes for content finance across all P+ International regions, ensuring consistency and visibility for local and global stakeholders.
- Drive global portfolio analytics for P+ International, leveraging existing systems or integrating new technologies to enhance reporting capabilities.
- Develop meaningful content analytics packages (regular and ad hoc) to support programming decisions.
- Provide monthly programming financial reports and real-time updates on committed vs. uncommitted investments to support executive decision-making.
- Establish KPIs to measure content investment performance, including the P+ Programming Dashboard.
- Build strong relationships with the P+ team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial goals.
- Lead financial project management, ensuring efficient workflows and compliance with company policies.
- Continuously identify opportunities for improvement, optimizing financial processes and decision-making frameworks.
- Serve as a backup resource for team members during expected or unexpected absences.
- Manage and develop a team of five direct reports.
Required Qualifications:
- Higher education degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CA, CFA, or equivalent).
- MBA or additional professional certifications preferred.
- Essential Skills & Experience
- 10+ years’ experience in finance/accounting, including 3+ years in management.
- Strong expertise in budgeting, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex financial modeling.
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP or equivalent accounting principles.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into meaningful insights.
- Proven project management and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- A proactive, continuous improvement mindset, capable of motivating teams and driving efficiencies.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with SAP, Oracle, Longview, or Alteryx is a plus.
