RTR Expert – Fixed Assets & Leases Accounting

Location: Budapest Finance Hub | Paramount

We’re looking for a sharp, experienced RTR Expert (Fixed Assets & Leases Accounting) to take ownership of key financial operations, bring deep accounting expertise to the table, and step into a natural leadership role within our Record-to-Report (RTR) team.

• Team Structure: Including this role, our team is made up of 2 Managers, 3 Experts, 4 Analysts, and 5 Interns. As an Expert, you’ll play a pivotal role in guiding junior colleagues and keeping operations running smoothly.

• Global Exposure: We report directly to the US, giving you high visibility, direct international collaboration, and key exposure to global financial operations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

In this role, you’ll drive the accurate and timely accounting of global fixed assets and lease transactions. Beyond day-to-day operations, you will serve as an operational focal point, elevate process efficiency, and ensure robust internal controls across Paramount’s international footprint.

Key Responsibilities:

• Core Accounting: Manage global fixed asset and lease accounting activities, prepare high-quality journal entries, and handle account reconciliations.

• Asset & Lease Ownership: Oversee asset master data, project setups, purchase orders for lease agreements, and monthly amortization in SAP.

• Specialized Financial Operations: Execute asset disposals, impairments, reclassifications, and support statutory audit processes.

• Key User Responsibilities: Act as the main contact point for Lease Accelerator in Budapest.

• Continuous Improvement: Identify process bottlenecks and drive initiatives to streamline team workflows.

• Team Guidance & Mentorship: Support and coach junior team members, acting as operational backup for the Line Manager when needed.

• Compliance: Safeguard financial integrity by adhering to internal controls and SOX requirements.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: 4–5 years of relevant accounting experience, with hands-on expertise in fixed assets, leases, journal entries, and reconciliations.

• Technical Mastery: Strong grounding in US GAAP and/or IFRS, alongside advanced Excel and MS Office skills.

• System Savvy: Experience with ERP systems (such as SAP or Lease Accelerator) is a plus.

• Problem-Solver Mindset: Proactive approach to continuous improvement and financial process optimization.

• Soft Skills: Confident communicator with solid stakeholder management skills and fluent/advanced English.

• Leadership Potential: Prior experience mentoring colleagues or stepping into informal leadership roles is a big advantage!
