At Paramount, we bring stories to audiences around the world through iconic brands, streaming platforms, and global entertainment experiences. Our Budapest Finance Hub plays a key role in supporting international operations, and we’re currently looking for an experienced accounting professional to join our RTR team as an RTR Expert, Fixed Assets & Leases Accounting.

 

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you’ll support the accurate and timely accounting of global fixed asset and lease transactions while acting as an operational focal point within the team. Your work will directly contribute to smooth financial operations and strong internal controls across Paramount’s international business.

 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing fixed asset and lease accounting activities
  • Supporting asset master data and project setup processes
  • Handling purchase orders related to lease agreements
  • Managing monthly amortisation activities in SAP
  • Processing asset disposals, impairments, and reclassifications
  • Preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Supporting statutory audits related to fixed assets and leases
  • Acting as a key user for Lease Accelerator in Budapest
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies
  • Providing guidance and support to junior team members
  • Supporting operational activities in the absence of the line manager
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements

 

 

What we’re looking for

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

 

  • A degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4–5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles including US GAAP and/or IFRS
  • Experience with fixed assets, leases, reconciliations, and journal entries
  • A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience improving financial processes or participating in transformation initiatives
  • Confident communication skills and stakeholder management experience
  • Advanced English language skills (written and spoken)
  • Strong Excel and MS Office skills
  • Previous exposure to leadership responsibilities or mentoring colleagues is an advantage
