POIM Associate

At Paramount, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented POIM Associate to join our Global Business Services team in Budapest. As a key member of our team, you will play an integral role in optimizing the Purchase Order (PO) and invoice processes across our international markets. This position is essential for maintaining accurate and timely invoice processing and ensuring the smooth functioning of our global business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor Basware error queues and resolve issues related to purchase orders and invoices by collaborating with buyers and suppliers.
- Research and respond to vendor and employee inquiries regarding Purchase to Pay (P2P) processes, focusing mainly on purchase orders.
- Investigate and address issues arising from P2P systems and processes, ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions.
- Review posted/blocked invoices in SAP and coordinate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end reconciliations, working to reduce aged payables and money owed to Paramount by liaising with local offices.
- Work closely with the P2P Manager to implement long-term solutions for recurring issues.
- Support the review of payment proposals and ensure accurate processing.
- Ensure the timely and accurate handling of tasks in line with the above responsibilities.
- Help train new team members and provide support as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Recognized degree in economics, accounting/finance, or business administration (preferred).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in a similar role (preferred).
- Strong B2/C1 level of English proficiency (both written and spoken).
- A second foreign language is an advantage.
- Experience in finance is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with any ERP system is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members and external partners.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
