Are you ready to be a part of something extraordinary? Paramount invites you to join our team as an RTR Analyst specializing in Programming Accounting. In this role, you will be at the forefront of accurate and timely accounting and analysis for Paramount’s International Programming & Project Accounting transactions, contributing to the success of one of the most iconic entertainment brands in the world.

 

This is a fixed-term position (1-year)!

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Process requests for creating programming project and asset master data, setting budgets for projects.
  • Raise purchase orders for contractual obligations stemming from license agreements.
  • Review and approve invoices from vendors related to programming licenses.
  • Generate and analyze open purchase order reports to ensure accurate asset recording.
  • Create program payment schedules based on contract reviews.
  • Process monthly amortization for programming assets and perform reclassification across brands.
  • Determine and record short-term/long-term liability reclassifications.
  • Prepare and park journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Process disposals for fully amortized acquired program assets.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations for programming assets and obligations.
  • Create program asset and liability account roll forwards, supporting financial statement disclosures.
  • Prepare and maintain commitments and contingencies schedules.
  • Recommend process improvements to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist with ad hoc Paramount and internal management requests.
  • Ensure compliance with key controls as per internal policies, Sarbanes Oxley rules, and regulations.

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • BS/MSc in Accounting/Finance.
  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated proactive approach to challenges and issue resolution.
  • Initiative-driven with strong follow-through and task completion skills.
  • Strive to be recognized by stakeholders as a valuable business partner.
  • Proficient in business English, both oral and written.
