We are looking for an RTR Analyst to join our Controller’s Group team in Budapest. The role is responsible for the accurate and timely accounting and reporting of Paramount Media Networks transactions related to participations and residuals.
The position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with international finance teams, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and contribute to process improvement initiatives within the RTR organization.
Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries for designated programming areas such as participations and residuals.
- Review weekly residual payment details from the residual team and record entries to appropriate brands from Cast & Crew and Entertainment Partners.
- Prepare and present monthly reconciliation of outstanding invoices from residual clearing accounts; reclass balances to liability accounts when necessary.
- Prepare intercompany confirmations and reconciliations with other divisions (e.g., CBS Distribution, Showtime, CBS Studios).
- Prepare monthly cash topsides to clear remaining cash balances in clearing accounts.
- Review monthly participation and residual error reports; coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve outstanding items.
- Manage the participation and residual rates load into SAP, as well as SOX-compliant rate change support files.
- Support process transfer and efficiency improvements within the Controller’s Group.
- Assist with ad-hoc management requests and projects to enhance and streamline processes, including production and programming enhancements, participations and residuals processes, and audit requests.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles, concepts, and processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize workload effectively and manage multiple responsibilities under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills (oral, written, and listening).
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work with stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
- Experience with HFM, Longview, and SAP is an advantage.
- Prior experience in the entertainment or media industry is a plus.
