Job Summary
As a Senior Analyst in GL Accounting & Reporting, you will be responsible for the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet account roll-forwards. You'll collaborate closely with Finance and Operational teams and provide key accounting support across multiple departments including Treasury, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash. You will also play an active role in process migration to GBS and contribute to continuous improvements in efficiency and effectiveness.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare monthly journal entries, including cost and revenue accruals, and prepayments
  • Conduct monthly account reconciliations and balance sheet roll forwards
  • Prepare financial and operational metrics for your areas of responsibility
  • Collaborate directly with Finance and Operational teams to provide accurate accounting support
  • Participate in migration of additional accounting activities to GBS
  • Drive process improvement initiatives and standardize migrated procedures
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, Sarbanes-Oxley regulations, and key controls
  • Support external auditors during annual reviews and audits
  • Assist with Viacom and internal management ad-hoc requests
  • Offer guidance and training to junior team members
  • Take ownership of key business processes within your expertise area

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • BSC/MSC degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounting/finance
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS accounting principles
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements
  • Proactive problem-solving approach and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong business English communication skills (B1/B2 or higher)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Positive, can-do attitude and structured thinking
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and risk management awareness
