We're looking for a Senior Analyst, Acquired Programming Accounting to join our Budapest-based Controllership team supporting CBS Sports, Sports Network and News. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with programming, finance and accounting stakeholders across a global media organization while gaining exposure to high-profile sports and news content.

What You'll Do

 

  • Manage the monthly and quarterly accounting close process for acquired programming activity.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Review programming agreements and set up acquired programming assets on the balance sheet.
  • Manage purchase orders, invoices, and payment processes related to programming contracts.
  • Review and monitor monthly amortization reports and accounting entries.
  • Prepare and maintain programming account reconciliations in Oracle.
  • Support quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements, including disclosure schedules.
  • Analyze account variances and provide meaningful financial insights.
  • Partner closely with Controllership, Programming, FP&A, and Finance teams across the business.
  • Review programming contracts and support ongoing financial compliance and reporting activities.

 

 

What We're Looking For

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional accounting or finance experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience with month-end close activities, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across global teams.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to learn.
