About the role
Join our Controllership team in Budapest as a Senior Analyst – Compensation COE and play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely accounting, analysis and reporting for ViacomCBS Networks International (VCNI) compensation-related activities.
In this role, you will work closely with Finance and Operations teams across the organization, supporting accounting processes, reporting and reconciliations while also contributing to process migrations, standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll do
- Prepare standard monthly journal entries, including cost accruals and prepayments
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations and balance sheet account rollforwards
- Prepare financial and operational metrics to support business decision-making
- Work closely with Finance and Operations teams, including Treasury, Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash
- Support the migration of additional accounting activities and processes into the Compensation COE and GBS
- Contribute to the standardization and harmonization of accounting processes and procedures
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve team efficiency and effectiveness
- Ensure relevant internal controls are in place and operating effectively in accordance with company policies, procedures and SOX requirements
- Collaborate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits, ensuring information requests are handled accurately and on time
- Support ad hoc management requests, analyses and reporting
- Take ownership of one or more business processes within your area of expertise
- Support the line manager and the wider team with operational activities when required
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- 2+ years of relevant post-qualification experience across a broad range of accounting activities
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles, concepts and processes
- Proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to take ownership and follow tasks through to completion
- Strong analytical and structured thinking skills
- Excellent business English skills, both written and spoken (B2/C1 or above)
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player
- Strong time and task management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to take initiative
- Ability to form and communicate well-founded opinions and develop effective courses of action
- Innovative mindset and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders to drive work forward
