Summary:

Nickelodeon Animation Studio is seeking interns to work with our Nickelodeon Asset Library & Archive (NALA) team to evaluate and process our physical archive backlog. We are looking for detail-oriented, enthusiastic, forward-thinking, motivated professionals eager to join the team. These interns will evaluate original production artwork for long-term preservation and fulfill any other special projects as needed. 

Responsibilities:

  • Catalog assets - including, but not limited to - production artwork, legacy media, puppets, and (potentially) some born-digital assets
  • Re-house, label, and prepare materials for long-term storage
  • Create and update database records to track content and information
  • Digitize original artwork and ingest to Nick's Digital Asset Management System in accordance with established standards
  • Additional projects related to the preservation of archival collections
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Preferred fields of study: Animation, Film, Media, Art Curation, Museum Studies, Archival or Library Sciences
  • Experience working with physical and/or digital archival collections or interest in working in an entertainment or art-related archive
  • Familiarity with cataloging practices and archival preservation techniques for digital and physical mediums
  • Highly detail-oriented; able to handle complex instructions with diligence and follow-through
  • Strong written communication skills, self-reliant, and motivated by the process
  • Mac proficiency and experience working with databases (Airtable and FileMaker Pro a plus)
  • A willingness to learn and grow
  • Strong research and administrative skills

Eligibility:

  • Internships are available to students pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate Degree. Certifications and continuing education are accepted as well!
  • Open to graduates who have graduated within 6 months of June 2025. 
  • You must be available to intern full-time (5 days a week/40 hours a week) for 10 weeks starting in June 2025.
  • Interns will be required to work on-site in Burbank, CA.
  • Employment eligibility work in the United States is required.

Hiring Salary Range: $20.0. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington State, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
