Overview:
We're looking for a Senior Designer to join our Design Systems team. You'll help shape the design language behind our streaming platform on web, mobile, and TV. You'll work with design, engineering, and product to build clear, reusable UI foundations. These foundations help our teams ship faster and keep quality high.
This role is a great fit for a designer who thinks in systems and loves the details. You'll lead work that others build on. You'll report to the VP of Design Systems and join a team that cares about quality at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Build, scale, and document a design system for web, iOS, Android, and TV.
- Design reusable components, patterns, and tokens that are clear and easy to use.
- Team up with front-end engineers to ship components that work well in Storybook.
- Set up clear rules so product teams can grow the system the right way.
- Review the product for design gaps and lead fixes across the suite.
- Write living docs, including how-to guides, do and don't examples, and specs.
- Own accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) across the whole component library.
- Work with brand and marketing to keep the product and brand in step.
- Use Figma Make to prototype and test how components behave before handoff.
- Manage design system versions and track changes in GitHub.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years in product design, with at least 2 years on design systems.
- Great Figma skills, including variables, components, and library setup.
- Hands-on work with Figma Make to build and test components.
- Experience using Storybook to document components and pair with engineers.
- Comfort with GitHub for version control, PRs, and system updates.
- A solid grasp of front-end basics (HTML, CSS, component frameworks).
- A portfolio that shows systems thinking, sharp craft, and clear docs.
- Strong writing and speaking skills to guide teams and lead design reviews.
Additional Qualifications:
- Work on video, streaming, or other media products.
- A feel for motion design and how it applies to UI.
- Experience in an Agile, sprint-based team.
- Skill with TV and 10-foot UIs.
