Overview
Responsibilities include but not limited to

Own and manage a portfolio of key agency and client relationships across the Midwest territory.

Develop and execute annual account growth strategies that drive revenue across linear, digital, streaming, social, branded content, and experiential platforms.

Identify and secure new business opportunities while expanding existing partnerships through upselling and cross-selling initiatives.

Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports (weekly activity reports, account updates, proposal reviews, monthly projections and forecasts) for management.

Create sales presentations for key, target categories and accounts within the territory.

Create customized, insight-driven sales presentations and integrated marketing proposals aligned with clients goals and objectives.

Generate revenue that meets or exceeds assigned budget and team sales goals.

Participate in upfront and scatter marketplace negotiations while developing long-term client investment strategies.

Collaborate closely with Research, Marketing, Brand Solutions, Ad Operations, Pricing & Planning teams to deliver best-in-class creative and strategic solutions.

Identify and cultivate non-traditional marketing budgets, sponsorship opportunities, and custom integrations.

Maintain a deep knowledge of marketplace trends, audience insights, competitive positioning, and emerging advertising solutions.

Represent BET Media Group at industry events, client meetings, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Attend weekly internal and cross-platform sales meetings.
Basic Qualifications
-
A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required
-
A minimum of 7+ years of media sales experience, including television, streaming, experiential, digital, or integrated advertising sales.

Demonstrated experience managing agency and client relationships with measurable revenue growth.

Proven success as a client-focused media sales professional with experience selling integrated advertising and marketing solutions across linear television, streaming, digital, social and experiential.

Demonstrated ability to build, grow, and manage a portfolio of business while consistently exceeding revenue goals.

Deep relationships within the agency, client, and advertising community, with a track record of developing strategic partnerships and securing long-term investments.

Positioning premium media brands and culturally relevant audience solutions to marketers seeking authentic connections with multicultural consumers.

Solid analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to leverage audience insights, media research, marketplace trends, and performance data to develop effective sales strategies.

Extraordinary presentation, communication, and storytelling skills with the ability to engage and influence agency and client decision-makers.

Experience developing and selling integrated marketing programs, sponsorships, branded content initiatives, custom partnerships, and cross-platform advertising solutions.

Deep knowledge of the evolving media landscape, including linear television, streaming, FAST channels, digital media, social platforms.

Proven ability to collaborate successfully across Sales, Marketing, Research, Brand Solutions, Client Success, Programming, and Ad Operations teams to deliver client-focused solutions.

Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $140,000.00 - 235,200.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is eligible to earn sales incentive compensation.
