Digital UX Designer

Simon & Schuster, a division of Paramount Global, is looking for an experienced and driven digital graphic designer to help grow the highly successful Pimsleur language learning subscription business.  The Digital UX Designer will bring a portfolio of direct marketing experience in design and execution for digital marketing campaigns as well as mobile UI/UX with the goal of optimizing the experience for  the user.  This role will support both the Pimsleur Marketing and Product teams to deliver marketing creative that drives clicks and conversion, and UI/UX that improves the customer experience, increases engagement, and retention.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of digital direct marketing design that drives mobile sales, and how good design can impact user funnels, consumer engagement, and revenue.   


Responsibilities will include: 
•    Support the marketing team in developing creative for A/B tests including landing pages, paywalls, in-app experiences, email and push notifications, digital advertising, etc. 
•    Develop design concepts for testing on and associated pages. 
•    Design static and rich media HTML5 creative for both web and digital mobile marketing channels including Facebook, Instagram, email, UAC, TikTok, and other channels.
•    Drive monthly Single Sales promotion production on the web and email.  Research and select images for all marketing campaigns
•    Make basic updates to pages through CMS tool
•    Develop UI/UX prototypes for new product features, both in mobile and on the web.
•    Construct design prototypes for user testing and market research.
•    Propose product and marketing design based on data-driven KPIs. 
•    Support the editorial / content team as needed for booklets, blog articles and premium product content 
•    Update/proof print packaging as necessary


Skills Required:
•    5 years in digital marketing design with a focus on mobile direct response marketing 
•    Strong portfolio showcasing job-specific skills and concepts built with intent on solving problems in: UX, UI, digital page design, and advertising.
•    Strong understanding how design can impact current mobile marketplace user acquisition.
•    Experience with A/B testing, digital campaign optimization and understanding of metrics that drive growth. 
•    Strong concepting skills to drive brand aesthetic across channels. 
•    Experience in mobile and web UX and associated requirements
•    Ability to work independently or as part of a team in remote locations
•    Experience with the Adobe suite of products, Figma or other digital design platforms.  
•    Interest in language learning a plus.
•    Video editing skills a plus.

The annual salary for this position is $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 


The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
