Types of Roles:

Video Engineering & Distribution Internships:

The Media Engineering & Distribution department is responsible for all Paramount Global broadcast platforms including audio, video, control systems and IP infrastructure as it relates to broadcast and distribution services. The team design, procure, build, and manage both software and hardware-based solutions, built upon both on-prem virtualized and public cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications: 

  • Video, Media or Electrical Engineering as a preferred field of study
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word
  • Experience in Data Analysis
  • Interest in Media and Video processing

 

Broadcast Engineering :

This department is responsible for the production and editing of shows recorded at the CBS Broadcast Center in NYC. We support all broadcast systems including audio, video, control systems and IP infrastructure as it relates to broadcast specific equipment. We interact with vendors for both support and procurement. This department is presently engaged in constructing some new audio rooms and post production editing suites for a resident client. 

Qualifications:  

  • Electrical Engineering as a preferred field of study 
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD. 
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word. 
  • Experience with Audio or Video  

 

Broadcast Distribution:  

Broadcast Distribution is responsible for the transmission of the CBS Network to 240 affiliates. Our department also provides all inbound contribution transmissions for Sports, News and Entertainment. 

Qualifications: 

  • Communications as a preferred field of study 
  • Knowledge of advanced excel features  
  • Interests in statistic to drive change 
  • Experience in Data Analysis  
  • Highly organized interest in television or media 

 

Eligibility:

  • Internships are available to students who will be Seniors or Master’s students in the fall of 2026. If you are a graduating Senior, please check our website for full-time job opportunities.
  • You must be available to intern full-time (5 days a week/36-40 hours a week) for 10 weeks total starting in June.
  • Interns will be required to work fully on-site for the duration of the program. Note: Paramount does not provide financial relocation support or housing stipends.
  • Internships are paid at a competitive standard hourly rate (school credit is optional).
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
  • Employment eligibility to work with Paramount in the United States is required as the company does not engage in sponsorship for internships.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

The hourly rate for this position is $20. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
