Overview:
The Paramount Brand Studio Activation Team is responsible for managing integrated marketing campaigns on all screens and engaging with several external and internal constituencies to deliver all aspects of a successful branded content program. The Associate Manager of Activation will assist with the client-facing activation of multiplatform sponsorship programs across MTV, VH1, Comedy Central, Paramount Network, Nickelodeon, Nick@Nite, AwesomenessTV, PlutoTV, and Paramount+.
The Associate Manager of Activation supports senior team members in LA and NYC in completing best-in-class campaigns that are industry-leading in creative quality and performance! The ideal candidate has shown proven success in project and people management, creative storytelling, client service, with extensive fluency across all media platforms.
The Associate Manager will assist with various projects including, but not limited to, RFP responses, campaign management, department tracking, cross-company alignment efforts, award submissions, and marketing materials creation!
This role will require interacting with the Ad Sales team, external partners, including clients, media agencies, creative agencies, and internal teams such as Ad Sales, Production, Programming, Media Planning, Multiplatform, Brand Marketing, Legal, and more. Professionalism and the ability to work well under pressure are required.
Day to day responsibility:
- Support team members in the management of best-in-class multiplatform marketing campaigns for Paramount’s advertisers, including but not limited to in-show integrations, short-form video, social-first content, and experiential activations:
- Specifically responsible for helping to effectively manage communication, trackers, budgets, compliance, timelines, and conflict resolution to ensure client happiness and campaign delivery.
- For various Paramount scripted shows, reading of scripts to ensure accurate script vetting and screening content for potential integration opportunities and advertiser sensitivities of brand association within the show.
- Support activation leads throughout the campaign, providing direction to internal teams when tasked that enable them to remain on track with deliverables and aligned with client expectations.
- Support senior team members on the management of high-investment, high-profile campaigns
- Collaborate with Creative team members throughout the scripting process to ensure ideas are brand and talent safe, subsequently attend the shoot, balancing client expectations with talent’s expectations on-set, and translating real-time feedback to production and talent teams.
- Attend live shoots for campaigns - when necessary
- Help anticipate roadblocks, challenges and issues, elevating to the Activation lead and working together towards conflict resolution.
- Partner with Marketing Innovation on the execution of new and emerging products attached to influence campaigns
Macro strategy responsibility:
- Support team members in the development of materials designed to generate demand for marketing partnership solutions, collaborating with internal teams to build and subsequently socialize opportunities.
- Assist in liaising across functions to develop proactive marketing opportunities tied to Paramount IP (shows, tentpoles, programming, priority initiatives) that enable marketers to capitalize on key consumer moments. Specifically responsible for working across functions to develop the package and materials including deliverables, talent, creative scope and budget breakdown.
- Develop case study materials such as one-sheets and general collateral that markets Paramount capability, collaborating with internal teams (Media, Research, Talent/Creative) to shape the story, leading to a well-articulated value proposition and opportunity.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2-5 years of professional experience, preferably in Entertainment, Advertising, or Marketing

- Ability to work in a fast paced environment; flexible and adaptable to change.
- Deep digital and social media knowledge with a passion for creativity and innovation.

- Self-starter, strategic problem solver with a passion for Entertainment content and pop culture
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, and Key Note a plus.
- Ability to conduct research and compile data to create materials and business recommendations used by senior management

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $60,000.00 - 77,500.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
