Legal Assistant

We're hiring a Legal Assistant to provide administrative support to several Business & Legal Affairs attorneys in the MTV Entertainment group at Paramount Global. This role involves handling a range of responsibilities, including organizing internal and external documents, scheduling meetings, handling correspondence, and processing travel and expenses. The ideal candidate will be detailed, able to prioritize efficiently, and possesses strong interpersonal skills to liaise with teams and partners. This position requires a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
• Distribute, file, and organize internal and external agreements and correspondence
• Handle general administrative duties (answering phones, rolling calls, scheduling internal and external appointments and meetings, maintaining daily schedules and calendars, handling e-mail distributions and incoming and outgoing mail, and updating contact information)
• Review contracts, deal memos, and tracking charts for accuracy, ensuring key terms align with negotiated agreements.
• Coordinate the execution of agreements by facilitating the signature process and ensuring timely completion.
• Develop user-friendly guides and reference materials to assist production teams in understanding and properly utilizing legal documents during filming.
• Liaise with internal departments and external entities as needed
• Accountable for Travel & Expense processing
• Resolution of general administrative issues (including facilities, supplies, general office equipment, and telecom requests)
• Compose and prepare confidential correspondence, reports, and other documents
Basic Qualifications:
• 1 year of experience, preferably in entertainment and/or legal administrative
• Proficiency with MS Suites, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Internet software
Additional Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
• Excellent written, verbal, and telephone skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Organized and highly thorough with the ability to manage time and multiple high priorities adroitly, appropriately prioritize work and demands, and anticipate needs
• Highly self-motivated, proactive, quick-thinking, flexible, collaborative, resourceful, and emotionally intelligent, with excellent common sense and judgment and the ability to exercise diplomacy and discretion

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $50,000.00 - 65,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
