Overview and Responsibilities:

The Media Coordinator supports the day-to-day media management needs of production teams across Paramount: A Skydance Corporation networks at our 1575 Gower, Los Angeles facility. While based in Los Angeles, this role supports production media workflows across the U.S. and globally, partnering with and accessing resources at any of our Production Operations and Technology managed facilities and cloud environments. This position helps ensure the smooth ingest, organization, preparation, and distribution of production assets across on-premises and cloud-based systems while supporting efficient, consistent, and scalable workflows.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Partners with production teams during pre-production to help define media specifications, storage requirements, transfer protocols, edit preparation, and asset availability across on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Coordinates ingest and organization of source media into enterprise-supported asset management and post-production systems.
  • Maintains internal production storage, folder structures, and media organization in alignment with established policies, security requirements, and workflow best practices.
  • Supports metadata enrichment efforts to improve search, discoverability, and reuse of content across multiple brands and regions.
  • Coordinates the distribution and transfer of assets to internal and external production systems and facilities using corporate-supported transfer services.
  • Assists with project wrap-up by preparing and submitting assets for long-term archive with complete metadata and retention information.
  • Supports live and near-live workflows, including ingest setup for streaming productions, instant clipping, and rapid-turnaround content for digital and broadcast.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2–4+ years of experience in media management, assistant editor, post-production support, or related roles.
  • Working knowledge of Avid/Interplay, ProTools, Adobe Creative Cloud, and familiarity with AWS, Microsoft Azure, OCI, or other cloud storage platforms.
  • Understanding of current file formats, transcoding and encoding workflows, video storage, and data transfer systems.
  • Previous experience with asset management, digital archive, or MAM/DAM systems.
  • Experience supporting production workflows in dynamic post-production or broadcast environments.

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Highly detail-oriented with great organizational and accuracy skills.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in fast-paced environment while managing various priorities.
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across creative, technical, and operational teams.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows such as speech-to-text transcription, auto-tagging, or AI-driven search tools is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, weekends, and holidays as production schedules demand.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $55,000.00 - 65,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
