Overview
Paramount: A Skydance Corporation is seeking a Media Operations Senior Manager to join the Editorial Post Production Operations (EPPO) Media Management & Archives team within Production Technology and Operations. This role carries end-to-end ownership of media infrastructure, access, and workflow decisions supporting high-volume, multi-brand production across Paramount's global ecosystem. Based in LA, the position sets and enforces storage and archive policy, provisions and secures editorial and production access, manages vendor tools and relationships, and serves as an escalation point for the technical issues that most directly affect production continuity. The role partners daily with production, editorial, engineering, content security, and network stakeholders across coasts, and coordinates directly with the NYC and Hollywood Post Support teams.
Responsibilities
•    Responsible for storage and archive strategy for on-premises storage and cloud environments, including capacity planning and coordination of data migrations
•    Provision, audit, and secure access to media environments; work with clients to determine what requires restricted access for sensitive materials versus open access for a group of users
•    Set up and support live and near-live production and streaming workflows (e.g., WildMoka ingest, movie recorder routing) and troubleshoot encoding and routing issues in partnership with engineering
•    Coordinate media transfer, transit, and delivery workflows across internal teams and external vendors/post houses using enterprise tools (e.g., Signiant/Media Shuttle, Aspera)
•    Manage relationships with media technology vendors, including feature evaluation and usage guidance for shared services and tools
•    Serve as the first point of contact for cross-brand client groups for media needs, archive/retrieval, and workflow troubleshooting
•    Maintain and audit reference data supporting media operations, such as personnel/location directories and workflow documentation
•    Manage a team of media coordinators, including scheduling, time-off and overtime approvals, training, and client communication
Qualifications
•    5+ years of experience in media management, post-production operations, or media infrastructure/IT roles supporting production, with prior coordinator-level experience preferred
•    Demonstrated experience managing storage systems, Active Directory security groups, and access provisioning in a production or enterprise media environment
•    Strong working knowledge of editorial workflows, media formats/codecs, and professional editing platforms (Avid, Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve)
•    Experience with cloud storage platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI), enterprise file transfer systems (Signiant/Media Shuttle, Aspera), and MAM/DAM or archive systems
•    Basic understanding of live and near-live production and streaming ingest workflows
•    Ability to make and own operational decisions for the betterment of clients, balancing the team's ability to support those decisions
•    Strong cross-functional communication skills, with experience supporting multiple brands, productions, and stakeholder groups simultaneously
•    Willingness to travel and support on-site production workflows as needed, including off-hours coverage
•    Experience managing a team
