Is this the role for you  

This role helps support the head of EMEA Theatrical Distribution and the Team by organizing film releases to improve box office performance across the region. Key tasks include assisting with distribution strategies for different markets, communicating with key partners, gathering data on release performance, and supporting the day-to-day execution of release plans. 

 

What will you be doing?  

Responsibilities, but not limited to; 

  • Assist with licensee territory oversight, supporting exhibitor negotiations, reviewing marketing budgets, and aiding in release date planning and box office reporting for assigned territories.  

  • Manage and update in-house database systems, ensuring accuracy in release dates, international holiday data, and censorship details, while liaising with territories to resolve discrepancies.  

  • Prepare sales and distribution reports related to release dates, box office performance, and audience reactions, including compiling the EMEA weekend business report.  

  • Conduct research projects, ad hoc box office analyses, and other review tasks, gathering insights and preparing presentations and reports for management as needed.  

  • Collaborate with the LA Distribution and Marketing finance teams to help manage budgets, optimize spending, and forecast box office revenue for the region. Ensure timely completion of territory tasks in the (IRIS) Salesforce system.  

  • Stay updated on international film industry trends and market performance, organizing box office data and market analysis for strategic decision-making presentations.  

  • During the opening weekend of Paramount releases some work may be required. 

  • Provide general administrative support to the Team, including organizing business travel, managing expenses, and handling day-to-day tasks as they arise.  

  • Organizing management of European conferences in London. Management includes; budgeting, planning and on the ground daily management of events.   

  • Processing timely payment of invoices on SAP.  

 

What are we looking for? 

Qualification - Essential 

  • Minimum 2+ years experience in the business environment  

  • Experience or a strong interest in International Theatrical Distribution  

  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft packages  

 

Qualification - Desirable 

  • Degree in Business Management, Marketing or equivalent qualification   

 

Skills and Ability - Essential 

  • Critical Thinking: Ability to quickly analyse and interpret quantitative data for management.  

  • Problem-Solving: Willingness to offer ideas and take initiative to improve processes.  

  • Extremely thorough and detail oriented.   

  • Keen interest in the film industry and movie performance.  

  • Communication – virtual and in person.  

  •  Adheres to deadlines.  

  • Ability to multitask.  

  • Calm under pressure. 

 

Skills and Ability – Desirable 

  • Knowledge of Salesforce.
