Is this the role for you?

The Coordinator, Music & Media Services (Rights & Licensing) plays an important role in supporting Paramount production teams across multiple brands and international territories.

This position helps ensure content can be cleared, distributed, and exploited across platforms by securing, tracking, and reporting rights for long‑form and short‑form content.

The role has a strong operational focus, contributing to music and third‑party clearances, rights analysis, systems administration, and the effective delivery of wider music strategy and operations.

Rights, Clearances & Licensing

  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external production teams, offering guidance on music and third‑party clearances, associated costs, potential risks, and budgeting considerations throughout the production lifecycle.

  • Advise production teams on the use of music under Paramount’s blanket agreements and approved licensing frameworks.

  • Negotiate and secure rights for music and third‑party materials, ensuring commercially favourable terms and an appropriate scope of rights for intended use.

  • Review, draft, and update licences and agreements so they reflect agreed terms, supporting timely execution and invoice processing.

  • Manage the issuing and negotiation of Guest Release Forms for in‑house productions, ensuring rights information is accurately logged once documentation is completed.

Documentation, Reporting & Systems

  • Collect, review, and approve music cue sheets, Programme As Completed Forms (PACFs), and delivery documentation, working with producers to resolve any gaps or discrepancies.

  • Ensure all executed agreements and production documentation are accurately stored within iManage.

  • Maintain accurate logging of clearance terms and rights data in the Programming Rights Report and other relevant rights systems.

  • Work closely with International Rights Analysis teams and regional stakeholders to confirm clearance positions for Paramount‑produced content.

  • Enter music video assets supplied by labels into the Video Acquisitions Database.

Operational & Financial Support

  • Support clip licensing requests as required.

  • Set up suppliers within the accounting system and raise purchase orders when needed.

  • Collaborate closely with Production and Production Management teams to identify cost‑effective music and licensing alternatives where appropriate.

Strategy, Policy & Training

  • Partner with the Paramount Music & Media Services team, Legal Counsel, and US Music teams to support clearance strategies that deliver broad rights within agreed commercial and legal parameters.

  • Contribute to clearance strategies that enable multi‑platform and international exploitation of content.

  • Share best practice, guidance, and rights knowledge across US and international regions.

  • Support the delivery of Rights & Clearances training sessions and workshops for client groups.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong, collaborative working relationships with colleagues across Paramount globally, at all levels and across departments.

  • Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with licensors, rights holders, and external suppliers.
