Is this the role for you?

As Digital Entertainment Lead, you will lead the editorial and publishing strategy for youth entertainment content across MTV Entertainment Studios’ international social platforms. You will oversee a high-performing team of digital producers responsible for creating culturally relevant, platform-native content that connects with Gen Z audiences globally.

In this senior role, you will shape and execute the editorial vision across key entertainment verticals – from celebrity and pop culture to talent-led formats.

Acting as a strategic partner across brand, creative, and production, you will ensure editorial output is bold, consistent, aligned with brand identity, and responsive to real-time culture and audience behaviour.

What will you be doing?

  • Manage and develop a multi-skilled team of in-house and freelance producers, ensuring the delivery of best-in-class content at scale across key social platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook).
  • Ensure the daily delivery of bold, relevant, and innovative content that resonates with youth audiences.
  • Oversee content production schedules and workflows with in-house production and creative teams for key shoots and edits.
  • Sign off and edit produce format and interview content ensuring that editorial remains at the highest standard.
  • Key contact for in-house localisation lead, sales team, legal and Paramount brand properties for all MTV UK Entertainment content.
  • Regularly review content performance and audience behaviour using social listening and analytics tools, translating insight into clear editorial decisions and content planning.
  • Develop and nurture external partnerships with studios, labels, platforms, and agencies to unlock talent-led opportunities and drive high-impact collaborations.
  • Lead with inclusion and purpose, ensuring the team culture reflects the values of the brand, and that content output authentically represents diverse perspectives and audiences.
  • Produce junket, own room, and in-studio content with A-list talent, when needed.
  • Produce original short form platform native content from red carpets and events, when needed.

What are we looking for?

  • Extensive editorial background in digital media with strong instinct for pop culture storytelling, real-time publishing, and multi-platform audience growth.
  • Expert knowledge of platform-specific trends, content formats and user behaviours across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.
  • Strong people leadership skills, with experience coaching and growing editorial talent and managing performance.
  • Advanced understanding of digital publishing tools, audience insights, analytics and content optimisation strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a track record of cross-departmental collaboration and stakeholder management at a senior level.
  • A champion of inclusive storytelling with a sharp eye for underrepresented voices and emerging talent.
  • An up-to-date knowledge of copyright, defamation and libel laws.
  • Experience with producing A-list music and movie talent formats in junket, studio and own room settings.
  • Calm under pressure, highly organised, and able to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
