Forecasting is part of the wider Paramount UK Research team incorporating Viewer Insight, 5 Streaming Analytics and Airtime Management.
Forecasting sits at the heart of the Paramount business and understanding our existing and potential viewers informs everything we do. This role will work across all channels in the portfolio to deliver actionable insight to drive creative and commercial success. You will be a voice of the viewer for our stakeholders.
What will you be doing?
• Responsible for the long-term forecasts of impacts, SOCI, SOSCI and share of viewing across all relevant audiences for selected Paramount brands using knowledge of the content, competition, seasonality, marketing and schedules. Detail any major changes in commentary to key stakeholders
• Run daily, weekly and monthly reports on the performance of our channels and competitors, across all platforms – linear, BVOD and SVOD
• Support the team in updating the 5 streaming forecasts
• Update Sky and Virgin VOD forecasts monthly, using linear and digital schedules to inform streams and revenue
• Develop and evolve forecasting models overtime to become more accurate, easier to maintain and quicker to use
• Assist with ad hoc projects such as carrier deal renewals, EPG changes, distribution modelling, ROI analysis etc
• Build and maintain relationships with schedulers, finance, commissioners, streaming, airtime and insight to help deliver forecasts as accurately and timely as possible.
What are we looking for?
• Experienced Research/Forecasting Assistant, ideally from a media background
• Highly numerate and competent at analysing large datasets to deliver actionable insight
• Exceptional Excel skills
• Good knowledge of Techedge
• Experience or knowledge of Dashboard/Visualisation/data warehouse tools such as Tableau, Snowflake, Power BI
• Good Microsoft office skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with autonomy and take responsibility for your own workload
