Paramount’s Global Security Operations Center was established in 2015 and is located on the Paramount Studio lot in Hollywood, California, USA. The GSOC is a state-of-the-art facility that helps coordinate responses to a variety of security and emergency situations that affect employees, productions, and assets worldwide.
The decision to establish the GSOC was based on the need to strengthen and coordinate security and emergency measures in response to the changing global climate and the need to support the safety and wellbeing of Paramount stakeholders. The GSOC is staffed and monitors travellers, assets, and productions worldwide 24/7/365.
This position is responsible for the monitoring and administration of 10+ security systems in the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC); collecting, analysing and preparing intelligence briefings; monitoring Paramount operations for threats and operational risks that could impact operations; conducting OSINT research; responding to those threats using various security systems and workflows; and serving as a subject matter expert to GSOC staff, including security dispatchers, during emergency situations.
What will you be doing?
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Support the development of incident response workflows and business rules contained in Paramount’s Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) solution.

Serve as the subject matter expert in the GSOC during emergency situations to help ensure the GSOC supports incidents in an effective and efficient manner.

Support the maintenance of operational risk monitoring tools to track threats and operational risks to Paramount operations, in support of Business Resiliency efforts.

Respond to various global incident alerts and threats by quickly researching, assessing conditions, and monitoring developing situations using open-source and system information; make notification decisions based on Paramount incident response workflows; activate and coordinate emergency response procedures; and maintain situational information and the status of incident response actions.

Collect, analyse and prepare various intelligence briefings, including but not limited to daily briefs, travel briefs, white papers on emerging threats, and related materials.

Conduct OSINT research to support threat assessment, investigations, and risk intelligence relating to company assets, events, and talent.

Prepare and share communications for situational awareness and welfare status checks regarding active emergency situations, including natural disasters, life safety threats, and civil unrest.
What are we looking for?
-
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Political Science, Emergency Management or a related discipline is preferred.

Minimum one year of experience with security systems is required.

Experience writing technical business policies, procedures and reports is required.

Willingness to work weekends and holidays, as needed.
Required skills
-
One year of full-time, paid experience in a customer service call centre or security operations centre.
-
Experience utilising technology-based security systems is a plus.

Ability to:
-
Stay composed during stressful emergency situations.
-
Speak clearly and professionally while utilising telephone, radio, computer-assisted dispatch systems, written communications, and electronic communications.

Use a personal computer, including Microsoft Office products and other related software.

Prepare clear and accurate incident reports and activity logs.
-
Understand and follow oral instructions and written policies, procedures, and protocols.

Type 40 WPM.

Willingness to work any 8-hour shift assignment, including holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
Desired skills

Broad knowledge of Security Operations Center policies and procedures.

Ability to analyse and quickly respond to emergency situations while maintaining composure and professionalism.

Excellent proofreading and editing skills, with strong attention to detail.

Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and other related applications.

Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage workflow efficiently and accurately; set priorities; take initiative; and exercise sound independent judgement.

Comfort working under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Ability to work independently with appropriate direction and support.

Creative and strategic approach, with a commitment to quality service.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate ideas clearly, concisely, and professionally.
