#WeAreParamount on a mission to unleash the power of content… you in?
We’ve got the brands, we’ve got the stars, we’ve got the power to achieve our mission to entertain the planet – now all we’re missing is… YOU! Becoming a part of Paramount means joining a team of passionate people who not only recognize the power of content but also enjoy a touch of fun and uniqueness. Together, we co-create moments that matter – both for our audiences and our employees – and aim to leave a positive mark on culture.

Is this the role for you?

We’re looking for an HR Advisor to join our UK HR Business Partnering team, supporting dedicated client groups across the business. Working closely with Senior HR Business Partners, you’ll provide hands-on HR advisory support across UK people activities, partnering with people leaders on employee relations, change management, recruitment coordination, and cyclical HR processes, while building people management capability across the business.

This is a practical advisory role for a confident self-starter who enjoys building strong relationships and is keen to gain exposure within a large media organisation, learn quickly, and benefit from the support and expertise of a sizeable HR team.

Working collaboratively with HR Centres of Excellence, you’ll help deliver seamless people support and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes. This role is well suited to a proactive, organised HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Senior HR Business Partners, including those based internationally, in relation to UK-focused people activities across designated client groups.

  • Confidently advise and guide people leaders on a broad range of UK employee relations matters, including complex investigations, disciplinary and grievance hearings, flexible working requests, performance and absence management, and occupational health referrals, escalating where required.

  • Execute change activity within assigned client groups, including structural and cultural change, operating autonomously and escalating where required.

  • Build strong, credible relationships across the business while proactively developing people management capability within the client group, enabling leaders to manage people matters with confidence and consistency and supporting a positive employee experience.

  • Support the Senior HR Business Partner with cyclical HR activities, including annual performance and salary review processes.

  • Support recruitment activity, including collating business justifications and overseeing vacancy approval submission and tracking through Salesforce.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee relations trackers and supporting documentation.

  • Monitor absence reporting and proactively trigger appropriate actions in line with policy.

  • Complete ad hoc data validation, reporting, and analysis tasks as required.

Collaboration with HR Centres of Excellence

  • Work collaboratively with HR Centres of Excellence, including HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, People Development, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, and the Freelancer team, to deliver seamless people support to the business.

  • Provide feedback and insight to improve HR processes and ensure they effectively support business partnering activities.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.

  • Proven experience advising on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance issues, and supporting change activity with minimal supervision.

  • Hands-on experience using HR systems and HR data to support people activity and decision-making.

  • A proactive self-starter with the confidence to take ownership of areas of responsibility.

  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • High attention to detail, with a strong commitment to professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Confident communicator, able to build credibility and effective relationships with managers, employees, and stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, solutions-focused approach.

  • A collaborative team player, comfortable working across HR Centres of Excellence.
