Is this role for you?
You'll support the Sales Director in implementing PPUK's Sales strategy with UK Exhibition, helping secure the best placement, run and return for all PPUK theatrical product.
Our UK Sales and Technical Team is a close-knit group of 5. We position, sell, distribute and implement the Theatrical (Cinema) Release of all Paramount Pictures Film releases in the UK. We work closely with UK Exhibition, Logistics and Technical Companies to ensure Paramount Product gets the best trailer placements, the most commercially viable release date, and the best and most suitable cinema release — aiming to maximise both the overall Gross Box Office for the film and Paramount's margin. We nurture the film product through its Theatrical release and provide reporting and analysis as required. We also support our Irish office.
What you will be doing?
- Build, nurture and sustain working relationships with all UK Exhibitors
- Execute Sales strategy, holdovers and negotiations in the UK marketplace
- Ensure maximum exploitation of all releases and back catalogue titles
- Manage data entry and bookings on the MACCS system
- Conduct film and marketplace research, analysis and recommendation
- Produce and deliver presentations to key Exhibitor clients on forthcoming product
- Communicate Sales process and strategy to key internal and external functions (Marketing, LA, Rentrak, Deluxe, Finance) as appropriate
Key Relationships
- Internal: PPUK Senior Management, PPUK Sales Team, PPUK Marketing & Finance teams, Ireland office
- External: Exhibitors (including Key Client), PPI & LA, Film Warehouses, Labs, Couriers, Corporate Clients
What are we looking for?
Essential
- Strong knowledge and experience of UK Film Exhibition and Film Distribution Market
- Knowledge and passion for film and the film distribution process
- Strong knowledge and judgement of the commercial film marketplace
- Good negotiating skills
- Experience in managing your own workload and dealing with high volumes of information
- Able to work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Strong systems skills
- Good levels of numeracy, grammar and keen eye for detail
- Able to manage conflict and manage others
- Confident and professional in dealing with Senior Management, LA and Senior Exhibitors
Desirable
- Exhibitor, Distributor, Media, Creative or Logistics experience
- Educational experience to include Business or Media related subjects
- Good Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
- Knowledge of MACCS and SAP systems
