Is This Role For You?

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Paramount home entertainment marketing team in a variety of activities designed to promote sales & rentals of AV content from Paramount Pictures, Miramax, CBS, Showtime, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon.


Internship Placement Objectives

  • Build a deeper understanding of the commercial side of the film & TV industry

  • Gain insight into home media content marketing & distribution

  • Gain experience of working in a commercial marketing environment

  • Gain confidence and the opportunity to demonstrate work experience in a market-leading, entertainment organisation

 

What will you be doing?

 

Team Admin

  • Monitor the home entertainment market environment across EMEA markets – reporting on competitor releases across cinema, transactional and streaming
  • Maintain internal trackers for competitor release information, i.e. monitoring home ent release windowing, consumer pricing and competitor marketing initiatives.
  • Manage the marketing team tracking documents including key milestones for each upcoming, marketing campaign
  • Assist in the implementation of key customer events – premieres & screenings
  • Assist with team desk bookings, office bookings and travel arrangements

 

Customer Marketing

  • Assist customers by responding to requests and briefing the required creative assets for use in key digital campaigns (e.g. Amazon Prime, SF Anytime)
  • Assist in the creation of temporary price move (TPR) and discount plans, aligned with commercial objectives and key promotional periods (e.g. Christmas, Halloween)
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of creative assets to our digital distribution partners – reviewing assets for each new release and working collaboratively with LA marketing team
  • Assist in the creation of Quarterly content update presentations
  • Assist in the work of auditing platforms to check for availability and pricing for new release titles

Consumer Marketing

  • Assist in the delivery of title marketing campaigns – including;
    Briefing consumer media campaigns
    Briefing consumer publicity and PR campaigns
    Creating organic & paid social media posts
    Briefing creative vendors and communicating amends

  • Manage the creation of press releases for new home entertainment releases in France, adapted from US materials, coordinating with the French PR agency, journalists and physical licensee.
  • Assist in the coordination of the “cross studio support” marketing campaigns
  • Assist in the creation of post-campaign evaluation reports

What are we looking for?
 

  • Essential – Ability to speak and write in French (native or fluent)

  • Digital skills – able to demonstrate proficient use Microsoft Office (with particular focus on MS Excel) and an ability to learn to use new digital systems

  • Organised, self-motivated and detailed - with a passion for co-ordination and prioritisation

  • The ability to multi-task and stick to deadlines

  • Best suited to a completer finisher, someone who is motivated to push themselves and the team to ensure projects are completed on time

  • A clear communicator – both written and verbally

  • Passionate about film & TV content – able to converse fluently about the latest content releases in cinemas, on streaming services, TV broadcast, etc.
