Production Manager

Be the key liaison point for production needs for the Paramount+ platform within the UK. You will work closely with the Senior Production Manager and Director of Production to deliver output for Paramount+ including on- and off-air multiplatform assets. You will a have experience with production teams in busy multi-discipline creative departments within a broadcast environment; managing multiple production workflows and helping to ensure all creative content is delivered on brand, on budget and to time across all touchpoints.
A high level of organisation and project management is required together with a positive and ‘can do’ approach to ensure the creative demands are met and delivered with first class production
What will you be doing?
Responsible for delivery of assets for Paramount+ streaming service promotional campaigns, both for owned and operated channels and above the line.
Finance:
- Alongside other UK Production Managers, monitor and report overall budget for Paramount+ creative team.
- Prepare cost estimates for new projects and campaigns
- Provide insights and financial data to Seniors as required.
- Ensure spend aligns with wider business objectives
- Follow company guidelines regarding production spend, expenses and T&E.
Daily production:
- Maintain an overview of all assigned projects and ensure resource is available, scheduled and accurately negotiated for at the appropriate time, both in terms of people and facilities.
- Anticipate the needs of upcoming projects and resource appropriately to prevent delays at the start of a project
- Liaise with all ops teams to ensure smooth delivery of on-air content
- Contact for compliance workflow as needed
- Ensure timeframes for creation and delivery are realistic and communicated across the wider business
- Ensure all deliveries are timely and on budget, while adhering to the creative ideals
- Bring efficiency and rigour to working practices
- Assist with forward planning as required
- Help in sourcing and recruiting freelance teams who are well-suited to projects, where necessary, setting them up on Paramount systems and ensure they have the necessary equipment and drive/platform access as required.
- Supervise post-production bookings
- Lead on regulatory approvals (e.g. Clearcast, BBFC, CAA, RACC), and on-air and off-air deliveries as required. Campaign deliveries could include: TVCs, Cinema, Radio, Out-of-Home, Social & Digital, CTV, Owned Platform Trailers, Performance Marketing & Partnerships assets.
Legal & business affairs:
- Check contracts for all suppliers, as needed
- Negotiate contract terms and fees for collaborating production companies, creative agencies and freelancers
- Liaise with the legal, HR and finance departments for all contracts, NDA’s, vendor selection, capex, payments, and implement new company policies into the daily work routine e.g. freelancer employment guidelines, expenses and T&E, v/o contract negotiations, be aware of changes to accounts payable processes.
Line management:
- Lead production staff as needed, including responsibility for their PDR review process
- Support with recruiting new talent as needed
- Wider organisation
- Embrace the ‘One Paramount’ approach and encourage collaboration and team working
- Be an ambassador for all Paramount channels, internally and externally
- Adopt and promote the Paramount values and support a culture of inclusion
What are we looking for?
- Experience with all aspects of short form and branding production: ideally within a streaming environment
- Experience of all types of post-production and graphics facilities essential
- Ability to budget and forecast accurately for a variety of project types, including graphics, clip-based and shoots
- Experience of budget creation, execution and management
- Experience of solving complex problems
- Commercially focused, and able to act as a business partner with Creative and other internal departments
- Highly organised and planned approach to work
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Highly numerate
- High attention to detail
- Excellent administration skills
