Lights, camera, action. Paramount Pictures UK is looking for a creative, driven intern to join our Publicity team for an unforgettable, full time, 12-month paid placement at our Chiswick office. If you're ready to kick-start a career in film his is your front-row seat.

Reporting to the Head of Publicity and supporting the wider team, you'll be at the heart of how our films reach press and audiences across the UK.

The package: London Living Wage of £96.95 per day (paid monthly), equivalent to £25,207 per year.

 

What will you be doing?

 You'll be the engine room of the Publicity team. Day to day, you'll:

  • Run press screenings – book and monitor all official press screening dates with the FDA (including the Scottish National Press Show and mop-ups), arrange catering and security, and host/check in guests at screenings, day and night, including the Week of Release Screening.
  • Service the press – distribute titles and images via our media management site, send release-date and change-of-date press releases, keep the Forthcoming Slate updated, and manage invites and RSVPs.
  • Power the junkets – run check-in desks, compile talent folders, share schedules with DMS, and book travel and transport for journalists and talent (with the occasional early start or late finish).
  • Track and report – maintain the publicity calendar and notes, keep weekly minutes and competitive reviews current, log all reviews and reactions for Head Office and Marketing, and circulate premiere and gala documents.
  • Keep the lists and admin tight – own the PPUK mailing lists via our database agency 
  • track POs and the BTA credit card spend, and book meeting rooms and catering as needed.
  • Be the FDA's first point of contact for the press team and liaise directly with journalists and National Critics.

 

What are we looking for?

  • A recent school or university leaver with a bachelor's degree in business/marketing or a related field, or relevant experience in a corporate office, ready to launch a career in media.
  • Excellent spoken and written English to a professional level
  • A talent for juggling multiple tasks against competing deadlines, with excellent time management.
  • A high level of attention to detail and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Strong organisation, with the ability to co-ordinate, prioritise and multitask.
  • A knack for building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • PC literate, and happy to work out of hours when the schedule calls for it.
  • Be positive and proactive, with the initiative and self-motivation to make things happen, and the integrity and honesty we count on.

 

All interns must be: 

  • Over 18 years of age and a recent school leaver or graduate
  • Eligible to work in the UK full-time for the full duration. Proof of eligibility will be requested later in the process.
