Is this the role for you?  

Forecasting is part of the wider Paramount UK Research team incorporating Viewer Insight, 5 Streaming Analytics and Airtime Management  

Forecasting sits at the heart of the Paramount business and understanding our existing and potential viewers informs everything we do.  This role will work across all channels in the portfolio to deliver actionable insight to drive creative and commercial success.  You will be a voice of the viewer for our stakeholders. 

 

What will you be doing?  

  • Using knowledge of the content, competition, seasonality, marketing and schedules you will be updating long-term forecasts for UK & Ireland linear Pay brands  

  • Supporting the team in updating the Sky/Virgin VOD forecast monthly 

  • Update Sky and Virgin VOD forecasts monthly  

  • Analyse data metrics when a month has fully consolidated and compare them to forecasts. Summarise differences and update all models accordingly 

  • Align short-term linear forecasts with airtime ratings team and assist with weekly commentary  

  • Assist the airtime team with weekly press cycle  

  • Assist with the ROI process by forecasting key metrics for linear and streaming content 

  • Gain knowledge across all brands, on all platforms, to a level that enables forecasts and ad-hoc request to be fulfilled 

  • Report and forecast on various linear platforms e.g. EPG shifts as requested 

 

What are we looking for? 

  • Experienced Research Assistant/ Data Analyst, ideally from a media background  

  • Highly numerate and competent at analysing large datasets to deliver actionable insight 

  • Exceptional Excel skills 

  • Strong attention to detail 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Ability to work with autonomy and take responsibility for your own workload
