Is this the role for you?

You’ll lead the end-to-end production of original commissions across MTVE International Studios and BET in the UK—overseeing delivery, budgets, approvals, compliance and ways of working across a varied slate of unscripted and entertainment formats. Working closely with the SVP, Brand & Content Strategy and senior partners across content, finance, legal, compliance, commercial and marketing, you’ll help ensure each project is delivered to a high standard, on time and on budget, with creative integrity and audience impact at its core.

What will you be doing?

• Lead end-to-end production for UK commissions, from development through delivery, meeting agreed timelines, budgets and editorial standards.
• Own cost allocation and ROI modelling for UK original productions, partnering with Finance to ensure accurate attribution of costs and revenue across UK and international platforms.
• Coordinate and submit Operational Approval Requests (OAR) for greenlights, ensuring documentation, thresholds and stakeholder sign-offs are in place.
• Partner across Content, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Commercial, Scheduling and Marketing to align production decisions with business objectives and audience needs.
• Contribute to annual slate planning and budget-setting.
• Ensure productions meet legal, regulatory and internal compliance requirements (including Ofcom) and reflect DEI commitments.
• Collaborate with digital, social, streaming and marketing teams to optimise content for multi-platform performance.
• Embed contributor welfare into production planning and delivery, using appropriate protocols and best practice.
• Support inclusive storytelling and representation on and off screen.

What we’re looking for?

• Significant experience leading production for UK broadcasters, studios or platforms, with a strong record of delivering high-impact content.
• Strong knowledge of the UK media landscape, audience behaviours and content trends, particularly for youth audiences.
• Experience delivering across linear, digital and/or streaming platforms.
• Confidence leading teams and working with senior stakeholders; clear communication and collaborative ways of working.
• Proven capability managing complex budgets, schedules and multiple projects at once.
• Understanding of production compliance and risk management, including contributor welfare requirements and safe production protocols.
• A strong network across the UK production community (or the ability to build one quickly).

Nice to have

• Experience producing reality and/or comedy entertainment.
• Experience creating content for youth audiences.
• Familiarity with the MTV, BET, Comedy Central and Paramount+ brands, tone of voice and audiences.
• Comfort working across linear, digital and streaming environments.
• A track record of delivering high-quality output while managing multiple complex workstreams.
• Understanding of public service broadcasting values alongside commercial priorities.
