Is this the role for you?

Our London office is in need of a marketeer who can think strategically and serve as a media guide. The main responsibility will be to develop and craft paid media strategy for all routes to market across Channel 5 marketing.

 

The Channel 5 Marketing team are responsible for promoting the Channel 5 portfolio of channels, showcasing the best content available and challenging the current content perceptions, delivering campaigns that build reputation and reach. We are a dynamic and energetic team and are passionate about TV.

 

This role will be crucial in shaping the future of Channel 5 and driving awareness through comprehensive media strategies and strategic projects. The ideal candidate will have a consistent track record in developing through the line, coordinated marketing campaigns, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. They’ll also be audience obsessed and able to act as a strategic glue for various marketing functions.

 

This is an exciting and challenging role full of opportunity that requires leadership, creativity, self-motivation, project management, strong media and campaign planning knowledge and attention-to-detail.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Develop and implement comprehensive brand and media strategies that align with overall business objectives and that will set Channel 5 up for future success
  • Analyse market trends, competitive landscape, and audience insights to inform the through the funnel strategy and approach.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including campaign, lifecycle, social, and performance, to ensure cohesive marketing efforts.
  • Build strong relationships and work with our media agency to future plan effectively
  • Develop digital platform strategies and connect all our digital media functions – social to performance to CRM
  • Management of multiple strategic and/or media related projects and partners at any one time
  • Budgets and Phasing - Optimise media spending and evaluate return on investment to improve campaign efficiency.
  • Responsible for media mix modelling and critical metric setting
  • Prepare regular reports for senior leadership on media strategy performance and key metrics.

 

What are we looking for?

  • In-house or media agency experience across direct-to-consumer marketing, with shown success in achieving goals
  • A great storyteller. Experience in a planning and/or strategic role
  • Experience working closely with data and research
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Ability and flexibility to adapt to change
  • Great communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, entrepreneurial approach and resilient spirit with experience navigating cross-functional organisations.
