Unlike traditional marketing, our insights team is involved from concept to release, ensuring the consumer’s voice is at the heart of every decision from brand development to fan engagement, to the actual movie in its final editorial stage, to identifying messaging for creative marketing materials that truly resonate. The Insights team drives impactful, data-driven decisions through audience surveys, focus groups, ethnographies, and screenings. Our global insights inform production and tailor marketing campaigns that excite moviegoers worldwide. This is an onsite hourly based full-time role requiring (5) days in office based out of the Paramount Pictures Studio Lot.
This role works collaboratively to support the entire department. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver tangible value to a wide range of creative stakeholders and collaborators across the studio.
Responsibilities Overview
We're looking for a curious, driven individual with a love of movies and an aptitude for business strategy, psychology, sociology, and/or storytelling to join our team. If you're a natural problem-solver who thrives on understanding people and uncovering the ''why'' behind their behaviors, we want you. The ideal candidate is not only analytical and skilled at working with large datasets, but also a good communicator who loves translating insights into actionable strategies creative people can understand. The Analyst, Strategy and Insights will support the wider team in the design, execution, analysis and presentation of research projects to provide insights and recommendations to the Theatrical Marketing and Development teams.
Responsibilities Include:
- Support the team at all stages of research projects
- Analyze large amounts of quantitative and qualitative data and turn data into actionable, story-driven insights
- Create visual documents which communicate research findings and data dynamically and succinctly
- Evaluating each motion picture’s target audience and potential opportunities and challenges
- Provide back-up support to the administrative roles within the department as needed, which may include:
- Assisting in scheduling and coordinating meetings for the team’s global calendar
- Performing administrative duties and creating, maintaining and organizing documents
- Maintain reporting databases critical to the department
- Desk research
- Be a vocal and active contributor to brainstorming sessions / meetings
- Be excited by movies and in tune with current releases
Basic Qualifications and Skills
• BA or BS with a track record of high achievement
• High comfort level with analyzing and synthesizing quantitative information
• 3-5 years of professional work experience in insights/research or strategy
• Strong proficiency in Excel, including expertise in data manipulation using formulas, filters, formatting, and advanced functions
• Knowledge of movies and passion for entertainment
• Excellent visual communication skills (high PowerPoint proficiency required)
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Highly organized with the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects
• Strong professional writing ability
• Team player

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $65,000.00 - 75,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
