Overview:

The Art Director leads the Consumer Products Creative Studio, a high-performing multidisciplinary team focused primarily on presentations and video.
 
The role turns business strategy into compelling visual stories for executives, franchise partners, licensees, and internal stakeholders. Setting the creative standard across decks, sizzle reels, motion graphics, and strategic communications. As a hands-on leader, the Art Director shapes story and design, directs internal and external talent, and contributes directly to priority work. The Studio also flexes selectively into broader visual design and art direction, including style-guide support and other high-value needs, when its expertise can add meaningful impact.
 
This is an onsite position at our Los Angeles office.
 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Set the Studio vision, quality bar, and priorities for presentation and video work, while determining when broader design support is appropriate.
  • Lead story structure, scripts, visual approaches, and music direction for marquee presentations, sizzle reels, and other motion or video pieces.
  • Remain hands-on by developing slides, editing video, creating light motion graphics, and art directing priority work when needed.
  • Coach multidisciplinary creative talent capable of transitioning fluidly across presentation design, graphic design, video editing, and light motion work in Adobe After Effects.
  • Build and direct a trusted network of agencies, editors, designers, animators, and production partners that extends capacity without lowering standards.

  • Property Snapshots and strategic storytelling decks
  • Executive, franchise, and partner-facing sizzle reels or videos
  • Motion graphics, presentation animation, and reusable visual systems
  • Creative direction for select style-guide and broader design priorities

 

Measures of Success:

  • The Studio is recognized as a trusted strategic and creative partner across Consumer Products.
  • Presentations and videos consistently improve clarity, alignment, and decision-making.
  • Creative quality remains remarkable across internally and externally produced work.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant creative experience, including multidisciplinary leadership across presentation, video, motion, design, or related environments.

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary creative teams in entertainment, consumer products, branding, or agency environments.
  • Exceptional portfolio spanning executive presentations, visual storytelling, motion graphics, and video.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Keynote and/or PowerPoint, with hands-on capability in video editing and light motion work in Adobe After Effects.
  • Proven ability to guide senior stakeholders, shape scripts and story, and lead external creative partners from brief through delivery.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and applicable experience applying company-approved AI-assisted tools to strategy, story development, visual exploration, image generation, and emerging video workflows, with solid human judgment and creative accountability.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $110,400.00 - 160,600.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
