The CBS Media Planning team is responsible for planning and scheduling marketing materials for all CBS properties, including News, Entertainment, Sports and Cross Channel. An ideal candidate to join this team would demonstrate remarkable attention to detail and a strong interest in television & pop culture. CBS is the leading network in the country, and this role has a chance to shape how the network’s top programs are promoted both on-air and on-demand. This role will have a direct impact on some of the network’s biggest marquee live sporting and entertainment events. It is a great opportunity to start a career in the vast television landscape and gain experience in all facets of broadcast television.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for locking in daily promotion schedules
  • Generate weekly news/sports/entertainment production orders
  • Adjust formats in scheduling software
  • Enter daily promo changes in the TX promotion schedule
  • Assist in promo revisions daily
  • Track early promo ingest needs to meet schedule deadlines
  • Build templates, formats and event profiles for all CBS shows, including sporting events
  • Assists other coordinators entering future promotional materials on a weekly basis
  • Provides weekly commitment reports for news and sports
  • Promotion scheduling for on demand schedules
  • In office commitment as part of hybrid role
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with other departments
  • After hours and weekend work required for schedule changes

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1 + years of equivalent work experience (Strong internship experience considered)

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Windows operating system
  • Time management skills
  • Well organized and detail oriented. Accuracy of data input is most important to prevent mistakes on the air.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $53,000.00 - 63,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
