Overview
The Licensing Coordinator has an opportunity to work across the entire Paramount portfolio with some of the most iconic properties in entertainment. In this role, this coordinator will gain experience by supporting the licensed business for specific assigned categories. They will be ambitious and forward-thinking. They will also have well-developed organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. They will deliver a myriad of support across the category team and work across multiple internal cross-functional teams at Paramount. This role supports our growing business. You will assist with contract administration and coordinate key business meetings. Additionally, you will help with marketing needs. Your tasks will include crafting presentations and pitches, gather various reports, and coordinate quarterly revenue forecasting.
 
 
Responsibilities
  • Work with the direct manager to support day-to-day, tactical category business needs to meet and exceed brand plans and financial goals.
  • Coordinate the review and approvals of product development; monitor progress of work, identify risks, and implement timely resolutions.
  • Work closely with licensees to ensure feedback is provided in a timely manner and properly executed to ensure optimal consumer- and franchise-relevant product innovation.
  • Support the manager during contract negotiations. Help ensure contracts are delivered on time. This includes collecting information, analyzing data, and entering deal points.
  • Work well with various internal departments. These include Global Creative, Brand Management, Marketing, Legal, International, and Retail Development teams.
  • Support marketing meetings with licensees; obtain marketing plans, identify asset needs, and ensure marketing approvals are processed via internal routing systems.
  • Assist in the development of annual and quarterly revenue forecasts by collecting budget and sales information from licensees and analyzing data.
  • Conduct periodic market tours and competitive assessments; compile findings and make recommendations with fact-based support while staying aware of industry trends.
  • Gathering materials for presentations, including franchise overviews, success stories from various categories, ratings, and press articles.
  • Gather internal and external data to build reports satisfying key metrics, such as POS reports, retail placement information, and white space analysis.
 
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 1+ years of professional experience (internships included) in licensing, marketing, or business administration.
  • Proficiency in data collection and basic financial analysis for reporting and forecasting purposes.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
 
Additional Qualifications
  • Strong communicator, initiative-taking, detail-oriented, and willingness to learn the business of consumer products licensing.
  • Well-developed organizational and project management skills; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $45,000.00 - 62,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
