Overview:
ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT is the leading entertainment news video creator and we are looking for a social media coordinator to join our team. In this role, you’ll help manage our social video publishing and content calendar, making sure our audience of 38M+ is getting the biggest stories in entertainment.
The Social Media Coordinator will support ET's fast-paced social team with daily publishing, copywriting and asset management. This is an entry-level role for someone who lives and breathes pop culture, understands how people consume entertainment news on social media, and can move quickly without sacrificing accuracy. You'll write occasional copy and publish multiple pieces of content each day, help identify social-worthy moments as footage comes in, and make sure ET is part of the conversation when entertainment news breaks.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Publish vertical video across ET's social platforms, writing engaging, accurate and platform-appropriate copy
- Post long-form news videos and other content on Facebook, prioritizing breaking news
- Prepare and publish Instagram Stories promoting ET’s daily show
- Gather video and photo assets for the social team
- Monitor incoming footage and identify timely, social-worthy moments for vertical video
- Collaborate with producers, editors and other members across the ET production
- May include occasional schedule shifts around big events
Basic Qualifications:
- 1+ year experience writing or creating content for social media through internships, freelance work, student media or an entry-level professional role
- Strong familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts and X
- Excellent writing, grammar and proofreading skills
- Basic video-editing experience with Adobe Suite, CapCut or other similar software

- Passion for entertainment, celebrity and pop culture
- Strong news judgment and an understanding of accuracy and journalistic standards
- Strong understanding of social trends, internet culture and platform-specific voices
- Highly detail-oriented, organized and comfortable working quickly as priorities change
Additional Details:
- The shift is Sunday — Thursday, 12-9pm | In-office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
- WFH allowed on Sunday and Wednesday
- May include occasional schedule shifts around big events
- Rate is $23/hr with OT. Full benefits
- ET’s offices are located in Studio City, California

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $23.0 - 23.0. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO, if applicable.
