Overview:
Ever wonder what it takes to bring a world-class animated feature from an early idea to the big screen? This position is responsible for supporting the production process of animated feature films for Paramount Pictures, from development through final delivery. This role helps make sure projects are completed on time, within budget, and at the highest creative and technical standards. The Manager will collaborate closely with their supervisor, creative leadership, and external partners to maintain the artistic vision of each project while driving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the team to generate, review, and manage production schedules for animation features
  • Review and monitor physical production costs of assigned projects
  • Generate production schedules/budgets for current and future projects
  • Maintain studio production key milestone schedules
  • Provide production analytics on prior and future assigned projects
  • Help support the Director of Talent to manage recruiting and staffing needs
  • Provide support to Animation Technology and Post-Production as needed
 
Vendor Responsibilities:
  • Reach out and maintain relationships with all animation vendors
  • Monitor vendor capacity for current and future projects
  • Create and maintain animation vendor/studio tracking database
 
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience with an Animation studio
  • Proficiency in production and operational tools (ShotGrid, Airtable, Google Workspace, Excel)
 
Additional Qualifications:
  • Able to handle multiple priorities
  • Film budgeting or bidding experience
  • Wide industry knowledge of people, process, and technique
  • Ability to identify and recruit talent is a major plus
  • Deep understanding of animation physical production details and nuances
  • Experience in budgeting and estimating costs for various methods of production, understanding the nuances in the script and reporting them to senior management; expertise in bottom-up budgeting
  • Experience working both in the field and in a corporate environment
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, fast-growing, collaborative environment
  • Deep knowledge of the animation film industry

Hiring Salary Range: $85,600.00 - 96,300.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
