Overview

The Senior Director of Collaborations will design and manage Paramount's collaboration function. They will create, organize, and execute high-quality partnerships. These partnerships will boost cultural relevance, widen audience reach, and increase revenue for the company's popular IP portfolio. This leader will work at the intersection of brand, culture, and commerce. They will build a collaboration engine that links fashion, lifestyle, retail, and culture. Their goal is to transform franchise strategy into meaningful experiences for consumers. This will help expand Paramount's brands beyond typical licensing. The ideal candidate brings a rare combination of creative instinct, commercial rigor, and deep cultural fluency, with a proven track record of originating and closing differentiated partnerships at scale.

 

Responsibilities

  • Strategy and Business Development

    • Define and execute the global collaborations strategy, spearheading cultural relevance and incremental revenue across Paramount's IP portfolio

    • Originate and pursue high-impact partnership opportunities across fashion, lifestyle, retail, talent, and cultural Platforms

    • Build and maintain a forward-looking pipeline of collaborations aligned to franchise priorities, content release calendar, and key cultural moments

    • Identify white-space opportunities across audiences, categories, and distribution channels to expand brand reach

    • Translate competitive landscape analysis, cultural intelligence, and consumer behavior trends into actionable partnership strategies

    • Drive an innovation agenda that surfaces emerging talent and brands ahead of market curve

  • Financial & P&L Management

    • Own the collaborations revenue contribution, planning, forecasting, and delivering incremental growth against targets

    • Structure and negotiate deal economics across revenue share, co-branded, and marketing-led collaboration models

      • Define and manage deal approval thresholds in partnership with Finance and Legal

    • Establish and track a defined KPI framework spanning revenue, earned media value, engagement, and brand equity impact

    • Ensure disciplined budget management and resource allocation across the collaboration’s portfolio

  • Partner & Relationship Management

    • Originate, negotiate, and execute collaboration agreements and partnerships in partnership with Legal and Finance

    • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with brands, designers, talent, and cultural partners

    • Serve as the external face of collaborations, representing Paramount in partner and industry conversations

    • Lead regular business reviews with partners to assess performance, identify opportunities, and ensure alignment

    • Ensure all collaborations align with franchise strategy, creative standards, and brand integrity

    • Partner with Retail, Marketing, and DTC teams to ensure robust go-to-market execution and distribution strategy

    • Partner with cross-functional teams to activate collaboration launches across retail, DTC, and experiential channels

    • Present collaboration strategy and partnership vision to internal leadership, partners, and retail stakeholders

    • Drive retail excellence through knowledge of category, planning cycles, and channel-specific strategies

  • Go-to-Market & Retail Execution

    • Integrate collaborations into broader franchise campaigns, ensuring alignment with content beats and marketing calendars

    • Drive retail excellence through deep knowledge of category dynamics, planning cycles, and accountspecific strategies

    • Present collaboration strategy and partnership pipeline to internal leadership, retail stakeholders, and external partners

  • Cross Functional Leadership

    • Lead and align cross-functional initiatives spanning Franchise, Creative (GCG), Retail, Marketing, Ad Sales, Finance, and Legal

    • Act as the central integration point ensuring seamless execution across internal and external teams

    • Influence senior stakeholders to ensure collaborations are prioritized, resourced, and differentiated across the portfolio

  • Team Leadership

    • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing collaborations team as the function scales

    • Establish operating rhythms, clear priorities, and a culture of creativity, accountability, and pace

    • Coach talent across core capabilities: partnership origination, deal structuring, and cultural trend identification

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years of progressive experience in collaborations, brand partnerships, licensing, or consumer products

    • Demonstrated leadership responsibility in entertainment, media, fashion, or culturally driven brands

  • Ability to operate with velocity and agility in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities while spearheading execution

  • Proven track record originating and executing high-impact, culturally relevant partnerships that drive both brand equity and revenue growth at scale

  • Established senior-level network across brands, designers, talent, and creative communities

  • Deep expertise in deal structuring and negotiation across complex commercial agreements

  • Robust financial acumen, including revenue forecasting, P&L management, and performance reporting

  • Experience working across global markets and multi-brand/IP portfolios

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders in a matrixed environment

  • Fluency in consumer behavior, cultural trends, and brand positioning with ability to operate with pace and agility

  • Exemplary executive communication and presentation skills

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $140,000.00 - 210,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
