Paramount seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to join their phenomenal Motion Picture Group Reporting team! As the SFA, you will report to the Paramount Director Motion Picture Financial Reporting based in Los Angeles. You will have significant interaction with Business Unit accounting teams and Paramount Global. In this role, you will handle monthly and quarterly close activities and will support amortization and report film cost activities by title for Paramount Features. This is a critical position as you are the only staff under the Director, responsible for accounting under the theatrical market. Overview and Responsibilities
• Responsible for the calculation and recording of month-end accruals for domestic theatrical revenue, print and distribution costs by title and territory in accordance with the accounting guidance set forth in SOP 00-02
• Accounting and billing for sub-distributor rental activities
• Accounting and reporting for Statutory accounts across theatrical entities
• Perform accounting activities related to Feature Film accounting
• Support amortization activities, including setting up drivers in the system
• Reconcile and clear account balances for BIT In/Bit Out accounts
• Perform G/L account reconciliations for a significant number of domestic theatrical and features company codes
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly management reporting including the balance sheet deck, balance sheet reconciliations and fluctuation analyses
• Reconcile and analyze A/R from sub-system to SAP system
• Record monthly/quarterly journal entries, monitor and clear suspense accounts for Motion Picture Group
• Prepare quarterly roll forward and supplemental schedules
• Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley cycle documentation, audit testing, identify areas of control risk and design and recommend mitigating control procedures, including reconciling Theatrical A/R to SAP
• Identify, recommend and implement process improvements to drive efficiencies in the organization
• Perform ad-hoc by-title reporting and analysis out of Hyperion to support the VP Reporting in the monthly actuals roll-up process
• Complete ad-hoc projects and analysis as determined by internal management
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in Finance or Accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or related field
Additional Qualifications
• CPA preferred
• Strong accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP
• Knowledge in advanced MS excel
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability and flexibility to meet tight deadlines particularly during quarterly close
• Proficient in financials systems, preferably SAP General Ledger and Hyperion

Hiring Salary Range: $70,000.00 - 80,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
