Overview and Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for effective financial and strategic planning support and analysis of the division's business segments as well as special projects as called upon by management.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare all journal entries related to Aviation; including accruals, recharges, allocation of administrative costs
- Prepare monthly financial reports; providing detailed analysis of actual financial activity compared to the annual budget and latest estimate
- Prepare the annual budget and quarterly estimates; including a thorough review and analysis of supporting financial documentation
- Maintain the Aviation database which retains details from all flight logs by plane
- Reconcile balances to the general ledger
- Prepare quarterly/annual requests for insurance, tax and audit (internal and external)
- Perform various special projects in all areas as requested by management
- Ability to work with other departments/divisions to acquire data for Planning
- Work closely with our operations staff to ensure proper Planning and Accounting for Aviation
- Capital Acquisition/Disposal forms initial review
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Minimum 4-5 years accounting experience
Additional Qualifications:
- Strong (and current) technical knowledge of US GAAP
- Intermediate-Advanced skills in Excel
- Proficiency in MS Access; including data entry and table maintenance
- Knowledge of financial analysis, accounting procedures and reporting
- Must be willing to work 10 – 12 hour days during monthly close period to meet deadlines
- Customer service oriented
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills, and the soft personal skills needed to collect accurate information from a wide network of people in a timely manner
- Must be detail oriented and possess strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload efficiently and meet strict deadlines
- Proven ability to perform detailed research and to provide solution driven results
- Ability to work autonomously
- Previous experience with Hyperion (Essbase/Smartview), Oracle and SAP preferred
- Experience in Media and Entertainment Industry preferred

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $75,000.00 - 85,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
