Overview and Responsibilities:

The Sr. Director, Corporate Strategy leads high-impact strategic initiatives that drive Paramount’s growth, competitive positioning, and innovation. This role partners with senior executives and cross-functional teams to develop actionable strategies, oversee complex projects, and deliver insights that inform enterprise-wide decision-making. The Sr. Director operates with significant autonomy, reporting to the SVP, Corporate Strategy, and often serves as a key representative in external partnerships and M&A activities.  
 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•    Lead strategic planning, market analysis, and competitive assessments for new business opportunities.
•    Develop and present data-driven recommendations using advanced quantitative modeling and scenario planning.
•    Oversee cross-functional project teams, ensuring alignment between strategy and execution.
•    Represent Paramount in external negotiations, due diligence, and partnership development.
•    Build and maintain strategic frameworks and analytical tools for consistent decision-making.
•    Prepare executive presentations and Board materials that synthesize complex issues into clear, actionable narratives.
•    Execute special projects and ad-hoc analyses for senior leadership
 

Basic Qualifications:

•    12+ years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, or private equity, ideally in media, entertainment, or technology.
•    Advanced degree (MBA preferred) with well-developed quantitative and analytical skills.
•    Expertise in financial modeling, data analysis, and visualization tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau/Power BI).
•    Proven ability to manage complex projects and influence senior stakeholders.
•    Exceptional communication skills, including experience presenting to C-level executives and Boards.
•    Willingness to travel as needed for business unit visits and industry events. 
 

Additional Qualifications:

•    Experience in streaming media, content production, or digital platforms.
•    Familiarity with AI/ML applications in media and content personalization.
•    Relationships across the media/entertainment ecosystem.
•    Knowledge of international media markets and global content strategies.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $210,000.00 - 225,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
