Overview:
We’re hiring a Vice President, Strategy & Operations to help shape the future of Paramount’s global film slate! Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Strategy & Operations, this leader will be at the center of how creative ambition, business strategy, and operational excellence come together. You’ll serve as a trusted strategic partner to key business units across the Studio—bringing insights, alignment, and structure to decisions that shape our films from development through release.

 

In this role, you’ll influence long-term strategy, guide day-to-day planning, and help ensure the Studio remains agile, competitive, and positioned for success in an ever-evolving marketplace. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and evolve slate strategy based on marketplace trends, studio priorities and financial goals
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of industry and competitor dynamics, translating insights into actionable recommendations for senior leadership
  • Support day-to-day studio operational planning, including release date planning, windowing strategy and reviews of key business areas
  • Drive alignment across key business units, including production, marketing, distribution, business affairs and finance, to ensure decision-making is coordinated, informed and consistent across studio priorities
  • Build tools and refine processes that enhance efficiency, support agile decision-making, and ensure decisions are grounded in data and strategic context
  • Develop recommendations for cross-company strategic initiatives, including platform strategy and IP exploitation across ecosystem


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in strategy, business development, or operations—ideally within entertainment
  • Proven ability to balance big-picture strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, executive-ready insights
  • High level of comfort with ambiguity; proactive, resourceful, and able to create structure where needed
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, including fluency in PowerPoint and Excel


Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience shaping or influencing studio or content strategy
  • Background working closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, marketing, distribution, finance)
  • Familiarity with industry trends, competitive landscapes, and market analysis
  • Experience building or refining operational processes, tools, or frameworks for decision-making

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

 

Hiring Salary Range: $230,000.00 - 250,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
