The ideal candidate is a social-savvy storyteller who will shape and grow Nickelodeon's social media presence in Japan, working closely with the Asia digital team as part of a dynamic, fast-moving team.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Nickelodeon Social Media Management 

•    Drive Nick Japan's social media strategy to grow reach and engagement. 
•    Ensure social strategies convey a compelling value proposition to our audience. 
•    Manage selected social accounts under Nickelodeon, including content creation (e.g., localization and adaptation), scheduling, publishing, and engagement with social fans and KOLs.
•    Collaborate with the Asia digital team to source and develop social content.
•    Capture and analyze social data to continuously improve strategy.
•    Provide regular performance reports for key campaigns.
•    Track emerging trends and platform updates to recommend new engagement and growth approaches.
•    Create trend-based content and curate fan comments with the Asia team.
•    Share audience and fan-trend insights with internal teams to help evolve Nickelodeon's Japan social presence.
•    Support the Asia brand team on marketing and promotional campaigns to amplify Nickelodeon's messaging.
•    Manage social media budget.
•    Maintain knowledge retention processes and archive past projects.   
•    Partner with other business units on Nickelodeon-related deals to drive brand promotion, reach, and business goals.
•    Manage platform holder relationships for seamless administration.

 

Qualifications

 

•    Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or Media-related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant social media experience
•    Passion for animation and the kids’ industry
•    Deep understanding of Japanese digital behavior, internet culture, and social norms
•    Experience in social media management, community moderation, and audience engagement
•    Skilled at managing external partner relationships and cross-team collaboration
•    Effective at multitasking under tight deadlines
•    Up to date with the latest social media trends and platforms in Japan
•    Proficient in written and spoken Japanese and English
•    Strong interpersonal, prioritization, and strategic thinking skills
•    Excellent communication and organizational skills with high attention to detail
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office and key computer programs, with some Photoshop skills
