As SVP, LATAM Communications & Publicity, you will drive subscriber growth, elevate brand perception, and deliver cultural impact through strategic communications and world-class earned media campaigns. The Opportunity
Reporting to the EVP, Head of Communications and PR for Paramount Direct to Consumer, you will be the architect of Paramount+’s reputation and influence across Latin America. You’ll lead crisis response, design breakthrough publicity campaigns for Paramount+ Originals, and position the brand at the forefront of a dynamic, multi-market region. Your work will translate cultural resonance into measurable business outcomes—subscriber acquisition, engagement, and brand health.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Regional Brand Impact: Develop and execute market-specific strategies that build brand affinity and drive subscriber growth across Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, and beyond. Leverage regional research and data insights to ensure cultural relevance and business results.
- Lead Crisis Communications & Executive Visibility: Serve as the primary crisis leader for LATAM, providing strategic counsel during sensitive situations and developing protocols tailored to diverse political and cultural contexts. Elevate executive profiles through high-impact speaking opportunities, media relationships, and thought leadership.
- Deliver Market-Defining Publicity Campaigns: Lead earned media campaigns for Paramount+ Originals, orchestrate territory-specific approaches, and manage media strategy, talent relations, awards positioning, and agency partnerships.
- Master the LATAM Media Landscape: Maintain deep relationships with pan-regional and country-specific media, business journalists, entertainment editors, tech reporters, and local influencers. Orchestrate premium press events, junkets, media tours, and screenings.
- Champion B2B & Industry Communications: Drive communications for OEMs, telecom partners, pay-TV operators, and advertisers, navigating complex partnership communications and regulatory frameworks.
Build & Lead High-Performing Teams: Mentor and develop top-tier communications and publicity teams, ensuring strategies celebrate regional storytelling and position Paramount+ as the champion of Latin American content. - Collaborate Globally, Lead Locally: Partner with US and regional leaders to balance global brand consistency with local market effectiveness and authenticity. Manage budgets and agency relationships to maximize ROI.
What We’re Looking For
- Senior-level communications and publicity experience in media, entertainment, streaming, or technology, with significant LATAM focus.
- Proven track record managing crisis situations, executive communications, and multi-market campaigns that drove measurable business results.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing international teams.
- Portfolio of major LATAM campaigns and crisis situations managed successfully across multiple countries.
- Native or near-native fluency in Spanish required; Portuguese fluency highly preferred; English fluency required for global collaboration.
- Deep expertise in LATAM markets, with success navigating cultural, political, regulatory, and business differences.
- Authoritative knowledge of the LATAM media landscape, streaming dynamics, and consumer behaviors.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to craft compelling narratives across cultures.
