We are looking for an experienced HR Operations professional to lead our APAC team on a leave cover contract, based on-site in Sydney (Pyrmont). 
 
Enough about us! What you’ll do as Director HR Operations:
 
Reporting into the VP, International HR Operations, this role is accountable for leading the APAC HR Operations function and HR service to 1K+ managers and employees across 8 countries. This is a key HR leadership role in the global HR Operations function and will be responsible for leading a team of up to 4 HR professionals. This role is a leave cover replacement for 12 months.

 

Success will require a credible and inspiring leader who has experience in HR system implementations across multiple locations and a strong ability to collaborate with others to deliver a truly global best-in-class HR service, capitalising on operational effectiveness, efficiency, and excellence, particularly with the aim to enhance the employee experience and improve data quality.

 

Functions will include:
  

  • Manage the complete scope of HR services and systems as defined by the Global HR Service Catalogue to the APAC region, including overall performance, continuous improvement, and operational/cost efficiencies,
  • Responsible for Oracle implementation in the APAC region, oversee process design, testing and data quality for the integrated ADP payroll solution
  • Responsible for regional HR request via centralised AskHR tool, oversee SLA’s, align with HR stakeholders, ensure excellent business experience
  • Ensure processes and practices comply with relevant regional employment legislation and regulatory expectations
  • Alignment and management of all resources and activities; including recruitment & development of strong talent across APAC teams, to ensure HR support services are administer by best-in-class HR talent experts
  • Oversee compliance and controls and support internal and external audit activities,
  • Interact with HRBPs for prioritising and handing service delivery issues
  • Interact with COEs for providing inputs, programme roll-out, providing feedback and request changes to programs, processes, and initiatives respectively
  • Represent APAC HR Operations in key leadership meetings, forums cross functional strategic programs
  • Provide high levels of operational excellence, efficiencies, risk management through the review of performance metrics
  • Oversee PMO and change management initiatives to the APAC HR Operations function such as but not limited to changes to OD, scope of service and technology releases/enhancements
  • Oversee resolution of complex HR Service Delivery problems and management of potential risks and issues leveraging the Global Service Management Framework and processes
  • Advocate a global way of working and creating a truly global mindset and set of behaviours and across the function.

 

What are the knowledge, skills, and experience we’re looking for?

  • HR Operations: Experience developing, implementing, and running HR operations across multiple countries with HR SaaS Technology,
  • HR Compliance Expertise: Strong understanding of HR Laws, regulations, and best practice to ensure compliance within APAC regions,
  • System implementation: Experience in launching Oracle across the APAC region, writing journeys, test scripts, oversee testing and secure data transfer into a payroll module,
  • Data Management: Proficient in managing and analysing HR data with the ability to draw insights and make informed decisions,
  • Team leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage a HR team, fostering teamwork, motivation, and development,
  • Operational Excellence: Adept at optimizing HR processes and procedures to enhanced efficiency, accuracy, and overall effectiveness,
  • Change management: Skills in guiding and managing teams through organisational changes such HR transformation and optimisation projects,
  • Communication skills: Effective communication, both written and verbal to liaise with team members, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies,
