Overview and Responsibilities

Master Data Governance Group (MDG) is tasked with maintaining the Master Data used at Paramount. The MDG Team works closely with all levels of the global organization to educate the business on master data-related issues, opportunities, and their impact on complex integrated business processes. Monitor and enhance master data quality across the company to ensure exactness and reliable data that meets business requirements. This group targets, evaluates, and implements expansion to additional participating systems. In this role, you will work extensively with management, brand groups, corporate business unit representatives, and technology partners to set a strategic master data direction that will enable corporate strategy and operational success. As an Analyst, you will support the team in ensuring smooth data governance processes and contributing to the organization's overall success.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Create and update Master Data objects in SAP or Oracle Fusion EDM with a focus on data quality and consistency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and business units, to support day-to-day Master Data operations.
  • Analyze data quality issues and implement corrective actions to improve data integrity.  
  • Assist in implementing global Master Data Governance processes, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform periodic data clean-up activities, including identifying inactive data objects and assisting in their removal.
  • Participate in the Master Data Governance Team’s internal process improvement and automation projects.
  • Support internal and external auditors in testing internal controls related to Master Data Governance.
  • Maintain existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Master Data processes and create new ones when needed.

  • Respond to inquiries and incidents related to Master Data, ensuring timely and precise resolution.

  • Provide training to junior team members and help with onboarding by providing support and guidance.
  • Attend meetings as a representative of Master Data Governance when required.
 
Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in data management, finance, or related roles. Basic knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
  • Deep proficiency in Excel and an ability to oversee data entry and analysis.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy and data integrity.
